This Is to our wonderful children who are now adults trying to find themselves and answers to they're lives. Especialy you Randi, our "MIRACLE baby girl! And You ARE honey. You better first of all know you survived norpramin for 8 months! In my womb, hang in there sweerheart. This park has been the greatest to have taken my son when he was little and shoot a roll ot film on him and have quality time! You know who you are Daniel and you, my were a "Ham"! All smiles when mom got the camera out. You loved that slide! I think you conquered it by one years old! You had to climb up the steps and slide down about twenty times before we'd head home! Your way! or u would get that stiff upper lip and pretend to start crying upon leaving.....To cute! "Moose," Love Ma! Also swimming was fun especialy the diving board you would love to have me watch you. I miss those days. Then six years later Randi Michelle took over the jungle jim (she owned the bridge)! And would go back and forth for an hour straight. Then the swings for an hour, then a picnic lunch on a blanket, sometimes with Kaeli, but not for long! As honey and peanut butter sandwhich sqares and fruitcups and sippee cups were everywhere all over her (yeah you)! Ran, And Kaeli and me, Mom. Blanket and ourselves were covered with LUNCH! My little spitfire, firecracker who melted my heart and made me laugh! Back to the bridge and swings to "own" the park toys. Lol, God you were funny Ran! Then there was the wading pool and fun in the sun. Eventualy soccer, in which you just loved the goalie net! Getting caught up in it trying to climb it, and of course getting suspended, within it and looking for help from me or Dad! You were Not ever paying attention, to much to investigate in the grass "our little goalie" for a short time anyways! Lol, Gotcha on video kiddo. It was hilarious....Run Randi Run! Kaeli to! Then softball games. Wow, you grew up to fast! Especialy when you recieved your first trophe! So proud of yourself you were, for good reason! Love Always, Mom. Oxoxox Esikimo kisses! ESKIMO Ran! My "Happy Thoughts" Always! You guys kept me smiling and laughing!!!! Thanks for being GREAT kids! and now Adults. Take Good Care of one another. Be Safe in this city! Remember Me in quiet times ok? You are both always on my mind and in my HEART! I'm NOT whole without you guys! But will go forth into the unknown future, for myself, and to let you guys discover yourselves on your own.......MOM (and the truth), we both messed up our marriage which is confusing to you guys. Wish We could All be friends for your benefit Guys!!!!!!!! And because we cannot sit and Blame each other, your Dad and I! It's hurting everyone! SEE THRU the lies, and Pain from the aftermath of whatever we had once. It realy ONE day will set you free, whether I'm here to see it or not. Learn To See Through People!! Danny you told me that 12 years ago! Took me...

I grew up 2 blocks from Tahoe Park. The park was where my brothers and I would play until the streetlights came on.

I played in that park from ages 5 to 18, so I spent a lot of time at that park as a child and as a teenager. We'd swim, picnic, do crafts at the clubhouse after school, ride bikes, or just sit and pluck grass while watching what everyone else was doing. I remember cheerleading my brother's baseball games there. The baseball diamonds are still there and in great shape.

I moved north of Sac when I was 18. We'd still visit Mama and have Memorial day, Easter or 4th of July picnics in the park. Eventually Mama moved north to be near her grandchildren, so it's been awhile since I've been back to the old neighborhood.

This past Sunday I visited a friend from Jr. High. It was a nice day, and going to the park seemed like the perfect way to pass a couple of hours and reminisce.

Tahoe Park hasn't changed much. Maybe the picnic tables were a little different. They were a sturdy metal (?). Back in the day they were wooden tables, with hundreds of initials carved on them. A few of those initials I carved myself.

From the moment I walked into the park, I felt like I was walking back in time. I could see myself as a child standing in line waiting for the pool to open.

Fifty years ago, walking through Tahoe Park was how we got to school. During the winter we'd get our shoes and socks and the bottom half of our Levi's really wet walking through the grass to get to school. It always took half the day for our pants to dry. Shoes and socks took longer, so we petitioned for (and won) the sidewalk that goes down the middle of the park. It's still there. I was proud to be a part of that sidewalk's existence. I still am.

The park was clean. Free of garbage laying around. Free from any paraphernalia that seems to be the norm in most parks these days. I didn't notice any graffiti.

It was great to go back to a park I'd gone to as a child, and have it be "untouched" by time, or population. There weren't any homeless people camped like there was throughout Sacramento these days. There were a few changes in the playground equipment, but they were probably updated for safety with the newest materials. I didn't use the restroom so I'm unsure of it's condition.

All around good day at a park that has stood the test of a half of century. Kudos to maintenance, the city, and other powers that be for keeping it the Tahoe Park I remember. Clean and wholesome. A place where you could send your kids to play and not worry. Parents usually only worried if they didn't come home when the ...

There are two great playgrounds, baseball diamonds, a sand volleyball area, basketball court and a pool.

Additionally, there's a track around the outside edge that's, .6 miles. There's Food Truck Mania when the weather's nice, summer movies and all kinds of meet ups, tons of places for birthday parties and barbeques, a gazebo covered area and great trees and therefore great shade (great at the big kid playground).

There are 2 water fountains and 2 bathrooms which are currently under construction.

If you're a Pokemon Go player, there are a few pokestops and a gym.

This park is great and nestled in this beautiful, vibrant, diverse Sacramento neighborhood. Make sure to visit in the fall -...

This is a nice park to visit for a walk or activities. We play softball here and the field is usually nice but the field light's could use some upgrading from yellow lights to more efficient and brighter lights for softball play. Still a lovely park tho.
