Altar Room — Attraction in Sacramento

Amazing items inside. Attended my first event, "bruja brunch" thinking the event would have something to do with a part of my culture that I don't get many chances to interact with. The bruja part was just a hook to get people's attention. I would kindly ask that if the owners are going to use any cultural specific hooks like bruja or Voodoo or Hoodoo brunch, class, whatever, they respect the people of those [in some instances] closed practices and invite an actual practitioner. No one during the event paraded around and claimed to be a bruja or promoted anything as a bruja that I heard. It was a great event with great food and drinks, so I am happy to come back as long as this small criticism is considered and applied moving forward. An actual brunch with a bruja would have been amazing and I'm sad to have missed out on that chance even though the event and the people there were amazing and I hope to see and support them all again...

I LOVE THE ALTAR ROOM!! It’s a great shop, with unique and wonderful items, and the owner is simply the BEST! She is so friendly, helpful, and informative. If you have questions, she’s got the answers, and the tools for all of your pagan/witchy/spiritual needs. Between the atmosphere of The Altar room and the graceful demeanor of the owner, I find the energy to be very “zen”. Definitely one of my “happy places”! I can always count on feeling uplifted, and I always find amazing tools for my spiritual practices. I can’t say enough good things about The Altar Room, and I highly recommend you check it out! The Altar Room is an awesome find for Pagan/Magical /Druid folk. The shop itself is worthy of a great review but the real treasure is the owner, Shasta. I have been all over the Sacramento/Stockton area to every metaphysical/ crystal/pagan shop or event I could find. I’ve met a lot of helpful owners, but none even come close to radiating the wisdom, serenity and understated aura of competence that Shasta has. Her knowledge is always a sharing and never a lecture.
