It was a bit off putting when we showed up and we were asked to wear masks. Being that we haven't worn masks in 2 weeks I had to return to the car to get them. In the mean time they gave our table to someone else and we were asked to wait 30 minutes.

Once we sat down and checked the menu we ordered 2 sushi rolls and 2 bowls of ramen. The ramen arrived first. We had a bowl of the house ramen and one with the pork belly. The meat was large pieces compared to other ramen places and it had a really nice smokey grill flavor. Menu said it came with an egg, but it was just half an egg, which was disappointing because the egg was marinated and very tasty. The broth was just ok and took on the flavors that were added. The pork belly one had a great smokey flavor and the house sadly became slightly fishy thanks to the seaweed. I've had better ramen broth for sure, but the meat and egg were the highlights.

We ordered a rainbow roll and a dragon without the teriyaki (not sure why almost all rolls had teriyaki). The sushi menu was very small considering the sushi bar takes up a large portion of the small restaurant. The fish on the rainbow roll was all very fresh. The dragon roll was possibly one of the best sushi rolls I've had. We ordered a side of thin sliced lemon (I think lemon is very under utilized in sushi restaurants) they were happy to add the request and it was very fresh and went well with both rolls, but especially the rainbow.

We...

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, people, let me tell you about Kansai Ramen & Sushi. The Ramen is worth the visit alone. I do not know about the sushi, because when I first went ordered from this place, I was looking for some good ramen to eat. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I have had worse ramen in Tokyo than in Kansai. This place is a legit Ramen shop. I have always been meaning to try the sushi, but every time I walk in the ramen calls my name like a siren calling me from the sea of flavors. Though I have not tried the sushi, I can tell you if it is half as good as the ramen, should receive 6 stars. I cannot express to you the joy I had upon discovering this restaurant. It is a Stellar place, with AMAZING ramen and great service. I would have pictures of the food, but every time I order from there, I instantly dig in. Not to mention they have some great Karage, most places have a poor imitation of it. But not here, this place is great, a go to recommend. You are doing yourself a disservice if you are trying to find some ramen and NOT visit. Go here, if you do not like it, go to the doctors, your...

I recently dined on this restaurant and I was extremely impressed by the overall experience. The food was outstanding, every dish was cooked to perfection and had the perfect balance of flavors. The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh and the tempura was light and crispy. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and added to the overall dining experience. The service was also top-notch, the staff were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu, they were able to recommend dishes that I wouldn't have tried otherwise and they were all delicious.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and traditional, it truly felt like I was dining in Japan. The traditional decor and ambiance added to the authenticity of the Japanese dining experience. The restaurant was also very clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable Japanese dining experience, the food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. This is definitely a place I would return to, it was an amazing experience.

Oishi!...

Edit: 9-10-22 I went back to Kansai and I'm pretty disappointed this time. I ordered 5 rolls. 3 of which I've had before but 2 of the rolls looked different from before. They either messed up or they skimped out and put less ingredients on the rolls. The rolls are pretty expensive so it's unacceptable for them to purposely put less. Imagine ordering a double cheeseburger and getting only one patty. That's what it feels like. Original review: Really good sushi! Long wait though. Phoned in a to go order at 1102 am when they opened. Said it would be 30 to 40 mins. Parking lot is very, very tiny. Picked up the sushi at 1140 am. Presentation is great! Bought five rolls: Kansai, Spicy D, Bob, Ninja and King Kong. All delicious! Definitely come here if you like sushi. Didn't try any ramen though. Will definitely be back for more sushi!

I have been to Kansai a few times with friends and it's always been on point! Parking can be a bit challenging. It's not a big restaurant and can get busy but we have never had an issue getting a table. Our server was very friendly and checked on our table frequently. Our table ordered the fried calamari, edamame, gyoza, and raw oysters for starters. The calamari was great and the dipping sauce was excellent! The raw oysters were fresh! We ordered some sashimi and rolls as well. The sashimi was excellent, very fresh fish! We all enjoyed our rolls which were the Kansai, Spicy Vargas, and 65th. My son ordered the bone marrow ramen which he really enjoyed. Kansai is a great little sushi and ramen spot!
