Doing a small repair we found extensive unseen water damage to the exterior of our home - we called many folks, and On the Spot was able to come right away. They were very communicative and knowledgeable. The probem was widespread, and we ended up replacing about 60% of the exterior of our home - framing, sill, headers, insulation. Siding, lighting, outlets, gutters had to be removed, then reinstalled. Full new roof, plywood and all, due to it having been done incorrectly before we purchased the house. Fixes to our chimney masonry.
All this work resulted in interior wall damage, which they also handled. They installed a new window and a new back door, tiled a laundry room, repaired drywall and nail pops throughout and touched up all the paint. New posts and overhang, complete with beautiful decorative stone. Despite nearly every room and exterior wall being touched by this project, as soon as they finished, it was like they were never there. All repairs were seemless.
Matt was very patient with us, never made us feel like he was even remotely enjoying all the issues (despite each new discovery meaning more work and payment for OTS! - not the case with all contractors for sure) and was always avaliable to chat or meet and explain anything to us, during a very crazy and stressful time. Weekends or weedays.
Roy, Osmon, and the team were amazing - super hard working, 100% quality work, I have no concerns that what they did will last, probably forever.
They were working at our home so long, we miss them being around some days!
If you need work to be done, they do a great job, and they treat you like they are doing work for a friend - they help you out and actually seemed to generally care about us. 10/10 Would love to have the team back, hopefully for a fun renovation and not another unforseen...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this company. I had a somewhat elaborate screened in porch/deck built a little over a year ago. Key points are as follows: 1.) They are absolutely METICULOUS The craftsmanship and pride each worker takes in their part of a project is impressive They have specialized skills, e.g. they don't send "the woodworker" to paint, they don't send "the painter" to install the doors, etc. They don't cut corners, e.g. they flagged that our architect's drawings could be "sturdier" based on their experience and they got involved to improve the integrity of the structure (it would've been easier to just ignore and continue to build). 2.) They are KIND and professional MaryAnne is a stellar project manager! She was always communicative, amenable to our schedules, and gave wonderful and honest input for the decision making processes. You will never be "up-selled" by MaryAnne- you will be educated and supported on what the best decisions are for you. All the workers who participated in our project are considerate, kind, and a pleasure to be around. They don't leave a mess 3.) They are HONEST and stand by their work A year later OTS came by to check on our project. They were helping us with a little door expanding issue that we wanted to address from the weather. Despite us being so pleased with everything, they not only fixed the door- quickly, they also pointed out that the door paint wasn't up to par (it was ever so slightly showing the wood underneath, we didn't even notice!). MaryAnne went ahead and scheduled a repaint with higher quality paint that was a better fit for the direct sunlight/environment in our backyard.
We would absolutely use OTS again and we continue to recommend them to all our family and friends...
Read moreMy home was built in the 1940s and this year I wanted to tackle and update the my living room. My 40s living room had no ceiling lights, the wall and ceiling are bomb rated 1940s cement plaster and window trim so thick with paint you can't see the detail of the trim anymore. To top that off i had water damage in one of the corners of my ceiling from a leak we fixed last year. I call OTSHI and Jeff came by to give me an estimate. I told him what i wanted to do to bring the room into the 21st century and he gave suggestions on how to make it happen. The pricing was more than fair and competitive for the job and it was estimated to take 3 days (electric, trim work & painting). Day 1 electric, the crew was great very professional, they covered everything to prevent dust and when they were done the room was so lit up with lights it was literally the brightest room in the whole house! Day 2 demo, repairs and paint...we had a bit of a snag with material issues so the job got pushed out an extra day...not a big deal. Day 3 and 4 trim work, paint and touchups. Francisco and his crew were the best! Their wood working skills with all the trim work was amazing and they got so much done in those 2 days! They even impressed my dad who worked construction for years! I can't say enough on how great and professional everyone (Jeff, the crews, and office staff) during the whole process. I'm already planning to use them again to update my kitchen in 2019! Thanks On the Spot for giving me a beautiful room that my family will enjoy for...
