We've been to a few mini golf places down in St. Augustine and Jacksonville, FL. Nothing compares so far to Anastasia Miniature Golf! Not only is it beautifully decorated, it's pretty well maintained. I did take off 1 star because some of the mini golf carpet was ripped, or needed washed. I did read they flood during hurricane or big tropical storms so upkeep is consuming. But they are doing awesome! There was many of the 18 holes that had new carpet down. I don't except the carpet to be perfect. One hole I thought it had black carpet but it actually was suppose to be green. With the Florida rain and humidity I don't except the carpet to be perfect. Each of the 18 holes had a sign showing the best way to get the hole in 1 with a cute riddle. My son really liked the different obstacles for each hole instead of just a flat green space. The pathways brings you all around and up stairs and around buildings! Very fun to see where next whole was going! Oh and did I mention the owners take very good care of the buildings and gardens! There is plants everywhere. Very appealing to the eye!
Would recommended: Sale cups of fish food at the counter to feed the fish. Not many people have coins on the to get fish food. My 2 year old was a little sad he couldn't feed them. Sale some of those beautiful flowers as small starters!
Over all take your kids, a date or friends to this mini golf place! You won't be...
Read moreThis is the best mini golf course I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot of them. Absolutely have to do this course whether you are visiting or local.
Everything about the course was amazing!! It’s beautiful and so cute whether you go during the day or at night. We went at night, and all of the lights on the course make it so pretty. The experience was great from the get-go, with many options for different sized and colored putters, many different colors of balls, and even some complimentary bug spray.
Your first hole is IN the big pirate ship!! And each hole only gets better from there. Every single hole is accompanied with a pirate poem that gives a hint on how to get a hole-in-one. A few of the holes are really challenging, but so so cool! They put your ball in pipes and gutters and make you feel like you’re in that one scene from Happy Gilmore!
There are many places to sit and rest throughout the course. Since we went at night, I’m not sure about how much shade is offered, but there are a ton of trees and large structures to stand behind.
We had an amazing time. This is cheap fun...
Read moreThe course has been updated in the past couple of years. A few of the holes still need a little TLC, but that's not why I didn't give a 5-star rating. One of the holes on top of the "hill" used to have multiple openings to aim your ball towards, now it just has one. Instead of covering the old, unused holes with a solid material, they were just covered with astro turf. My curious kiddo when to investigate and noticed a small opening where a hole used to be, and decided to tap on it with the putter. BIG MISTAKE! Flying ants went everywhere and freaked my kid out. Yes, I know tapping on it was not the best idea, but children are curious little creatures, and investigating is how they learn best! No one was hurt, nothing happened other than a kid who's freaked out by bugs having a slight moment of fear. Just mentioning it so no one else decides to tap on that spot and encounters the ants as well. Other than that, it's a fun and delightful course. Several people from other groups got multiple holes-in-one, however we weren't as lucky. Oh well, there's always...
