Tried this little joint out today for smoothies. We ordered an Elvis and a Chocolate Power and both were 1/4 solid ice at the bottom. Neither had much taste- just watery and gritty. :( I’m not doubting the positive health benefits of the ingredients in the smoothies here but overall they did not taste good and had really poor texture/blend. Health doesn’t have to compromise taste. :) In short I did not find it worth the 16 dollars for two of their smallest smoothies that were only about 3/4 blended and drinkable.
Update: While the response to my initial review seems borderline passive aggressive, it is kind and thoughtful of the owner to offer a resolution to the issue. I hope this was a rare instance based on other positive reviews but that doesn’t invalidate my (or other customer’s) poor experience(s). I am also not convinced that it is reasonable to expect every last customer to personally reach out to the business owner each time they have a poor experience as requested by the owner per each negative review, and I didn’t have the time to address this with staff as we got our smoothies to-go on our way to a secondary destination and hadn’t started drinking it until we were on the road. With that being said, we would still love to give it another shot sometime and I hope it’s out of the park like so many reviews...
Read moreA simple cafe - walk in/walk out, not sure I'd want to hang there. Young staff person behind counter was not wearing gloves when he poured blueberries from a plastic clam shell into his hand and onto my acai bowl. (After touching the ipad till.) Were the berries even washed beforehand? I'll never know. Did not eat food due to potential contamination - had to throw out the OG acai bowl as I wasn't willing to risk it.
Called owner immediately and she said she would refund, but did not. I had to re-establish contact and ask again for a promised refund. Owner was defensive and aggressive, accused me of lying because she had video proof of the worker wearing gloves, but never produced this video footage when she and I were in email contact. (She even made a phone call to repeatedly exclaim her shock and ranted at me for my poor choice in not immediately denying the food, even though we were in email contact. Felt like she really just wanted me to feel bad? Not sure why a call was necessary.)
All in all, I'd say it's potentially unsanitary food operation, and without a doubt it was unprofessional. I'd recommend to give this cafe a pass. There are plenty of juice bars within walking distance down the road, making this...

I did asked for no banana in one bowl and asked if they could put what ever they wanted instead when I was at the register. They should have charged me at the counter if it was an issue. The person did not say anything. You could have added more granola or idk anything, I wasnt asking for anything more expensive. But you were very very unfriendly and it is not the first time.
