A very beautiful and joyful place to meditate and reflect on the Lord and oneself. There's an old cemetery, a beautiful meditation Circle that is constructed to reflect a rosary, and then you have the gigantic cross and it said to be that this site is one of the most sacred Acres and I think it's simply amazing and I believe you would think so too. My son and I were down here about a month ago visiting St Augustine and the picture of the gate that's showing is a back entrance into the property that's locked and the front gate is off of A1A and my son and I were down here at night time and it was just marvelous and as I head to work I decided to stop by and meditate for a few minutes mesmerized by the enormous cross, sculptures, and other new and ancient works of art and artifacts it's truly a breathtaking View and a beautiful place and if you need to get away from the busyness of the world stop by and have a seat on one of the benches you will not be bothered and you can stay as long as you...
Read moreWe had our bikes - so we thought we couldn't go in as the sign said - NO BIKES. we turned around to leave. but the guard said as we walk them and not ride we could go in. Very nice of him as he could see we were disappointed. So we walked them. Really nice open grounds and during the week so it was not that crowded. The Cross is huge just towering over you. We went to the back right side corner and found a hidden side entrance / gate to the side street which saved us a ton of time walking all the way back to the front. This is a FREE venue ! We followed the GPS, which seemed to lead us to the back entrance. It was still beautiful from there, but we didn’t have time to look for the main entrance.
