Read moreWe went to Old Town Saint Charles for the outdoor Christmas parade and for some light shopping. We were prepared for a day of lots of walking so we quickly found ample parking near the Lewis and Clark museum. Our first stop was at Sugar Cubed and we all delighted in finding interesting candies and confections. We stopped in many other stores and bought a few things here and there. We had lunch at Braddens and enjoyed the burgers immensely while the kids had butter noodles. The service and food were excellent. The parade was fun, but I found myself wishing that there were more Santas or other characters involved as there was a bit of a wait between one character and the next. Overall it was a great day...
