In previous years, I think this festival deserved 5 stars, but as every year elapses the festival seems to be shrinking. Maybe it's the day I've been attending. Maybe it's me be accustomed to everything. But I don't think so.
I remember both sides of the street being packed with vendors, where the last 2 years it's only been one. Not only that, but I feel that the quality of the products is trending downwards. There were still some fantastic booths, but an overabundance of booths with cheap looking, low effort crafts (absolutely no offense to any vendor. I'm sure you work hard on your products).
I'll continue to go because it is still a fantastic festival, but I'm hoping it can operate at the levels of previous...
Read moreI love the festival, but I have to say it's absolutely INFURIATING to have to PAY TO PARK. I saw some of the elderly and handicapp exhausted and moving even slower because they had to park so far away. There's already people living on a tight budget, and they have to dig deep in their pockets to pay to Park close. Yes, they can park someplace and wait for a shuttle while they sit in the heat. I'm sorry but leave some close-up parking just for our handicapp & elderly. I'm sorry but years ago we had to earn our own money for camps and now we let them earn money from having to pay to park. We've made life easy for this generation, and this just makes it worse. Please...
Read moreI look forward to the Festival of the Little Hills every year! It is one of my most favorite events ever. There is a ton of food of every type: sweet, savory, spicy, salty, hot, cold, and everything in between. The main event though is the crafts; hundreds of vendors selling artwork, jewelry, knick knacks, hammocks,furniture, lawn orbaments, and things I've never even heard or thought of. There is definately something for everyone. And at the end of the day you can sit on the riverfront with a cold drink and listen to some great music. It's the event that's just too...
