I wish there was a way to give no stars. Don’t stay at this location! I am an Honors member and I frequent Hilton hotel. I stayed at this property before and it was a much better experience. Ownership or Management must have changed. The fire alarm woke my family up at 1:30/2 am, I called down and they said it was not a drill. I had to wake up my baby and son and my husband who has a disability and was barely able to walk. It took us 2 hours to get the kids back to sleep so when housekeeping started knocking on our door at 11 I informed them we had already requested a late check out until noon but because we didn’t get much sleep, I asked if we could have until 1pm. The front desk clerk advised she had to ask the GM and would call me back. I didn’t receive a call but housekeeping knocked again and stated they tried calling our room and the phone was off the hook and they couldn’t reach my phone listed on my account. I advised our phone was not off the hook and the phone on my account was my home phone. She said they couldn’t let us stay until 1 and I told them we were packing up as fast as we could and the kids were finishing eating. One minute later we get someone beating and kicking the door. I answered and advised we were packing up as quickly as possible. She said she was the supervisor and we needed to leave NOW! She had a manager on the phone listening. I again told her that we were packing up as fast as possible but keep stopping to answer the door. 2 minutes later the manager is at the door saying I was yelling at her employee. I told her we were packing and waiting for the callback we never received for additional time. They both said we can’t stay until 1pm and we needed to leave. I went on to make sure they knew we were up all night with police and firefighters in the building and we were doing our best. They continued to argue with us we got a luggage cart and got out of the room as quickly as possible. I have never been harassed this way at a Hilton property. My son is terrified and crying because he’s afraid and doesn’t understand why this happened. To accuse guests of leaving the phone off the hook and not answering their home phone is ridiculous! The housekeeping staff was unprofessional and the manager on duty was even worse. Then we receive an email receipt with a $50 charge for late check out even though the extra 45 minutes was spent being harassed and yelled at to get out was because they kept beating on the door and stopping us from packing! I was never told we would be charged while waiting to see if we could have additional time. I was in tears speaking with Honors customer service. I will never stay at another Hilton...
Read moreMe and my children just checked in. They did accommodate an early check in and the process (non-existent) was nice. I am a hotel GM, so perhaps I’m a little picky. But for the money I paid, I expected more.
My digital key would not work at all (on my phone). I’d previously checked in online, I had my Bluetooth on and I tried many times but it wouldn’t work. I went back down to the desk, after setting all of my items on the floor outside my room and leaving my children by the door. They hadn’t checked me in yet. They made me actual key cards but I assumed my digital key would work once I went back up and it didn’t. I used the key card.
I was very surprised to see the state of the room and to feel the beds when I entered the room. I understand the room walls being covered in scuff marks but me and my staff spend hours, daily, cleaning our hotel walls and I just didn’t expect the entire room to be covered in them. The bed is pretty hard. I haven’t slept yet and I’m a little nervous because just sitting on the bed is not comfortable. Being the GM of another hotel, the first thing I do when I check into a room is check out the cleanliness and this room didn’t appear to be cleaned very well. There was a plastic item left in the fridge, the fridge is also dirty, the floor was pretty dirty, the shower curtain is yellow and dirty, the bathroom and bathtub is dirty. The room doesn’t look like it was cleaned very well. And there appears to be pet hair on the bed and floor.
We may need another night stay but I don’t think we are going to stay here after tonight. I’ve already called around and a lot of the local hotels are booked already so we will stay here tonight but this room is too dirty to spend any more time in. Very disappointed for the price I paid. Read moreI recently attempted to stay at the Hampton Inn in St Charles [1410 S 5th St, StCharles MO ] as upon leaving the premises while sitting in my car, three employees came out running to their vehicle parked next to me screaming and joking around, swinging doors open being extremely careless of the guest around them and their propety. I was a little concerned, as prior to check in I noticed drug paraphernalia scattered throughout the vehicle they entered. With keeping in mind the drugs in the vehicle, I assumed by their behavior they were high and acting erratic. I tried to pull away while they're still screaming and jumping around in the parking lot. I drove through the parking lot an they drive erratic trying to cut me off before leaving and almost side swipping my vehicle driving through the parking spots. I put my vehicle in park so they can drive around me, with two cars full of people. They proceeded to get out of the vehicles and surrounded mine threatening to pull me out of my vehicle. At this time the General Manager and another older white male Grey haired employee came out and screamed at me as well. The general manager stuck her head into my window threatening me and proceeded to cancel my reservation even though I had only checked in 2 hours prior to this incident.
The general manager CONDONED this behavior and said the kids were just excited about being off work. While the kids sat their on premises screaming and recording me having an argument with the GM while guests are walking in and out of the facility witnessing all of this concerned for my safety at that.
