We have had the pleasure of discovering Cardinal sin Spirits a couple years ago, and I must say, they have completely exceeded my expectations. From the outset, it is clear that they prioritize quality ingredients and craftsmanship in every bottle they produce. Their dedication to sourcing the finest ingredients sets them apart in a crowded market. One standout in their impressive lineup is the Wrath Cinnamon Whiskey. This exceptional spirit is a masterclass in balance and flavor, easily surpassing the more famous cinnamon liqueurs that dominate the shelves. Unlike its overly sweet and artificial counterparts, Wrath delivers a robust, genuine cinnamon punch with just the right amount of warmth and spice, making it an absolute delight whether enjoyed neat or in a cocktail. Moreover, the people behind Cardinal Sin Spirits are as remarkable as their products. Their passion and enthusiasm for creating top-tier spirits are evident in every interaction, and it is clear they pour their heart and soul into their craft. This dedication not only results in superior products but also fosters a sense of community and trust among their growing fan base.I am beyond excited for future releases. we can expect more innovative and high quality spirits that continue to raise the bar. here's to more groundbreaking releases from this...
Read moreWhile Cardinal Sin whiskies are no doubt exquisite beverages, it is their Starka that makes this company truly unique at least on this side of the pond.
I lived in this country for over a half of my life. While it is an incredible place that has more to offer than pretty much all the rest of the world, I spent spent most of my time here chasing a unique beverage of my childhood, the east-European specialty of Starka that carries this unique taste of herbal tangy sweetness made up of linden leaves, cognac and port barrels and other secret ingredients. Over the years I tasted numerous Polish, Lithuanian and American starkas as well as newly fashionable ‘oak aged vodkas’ trying to find anything close to the one I grew up with back in the old country. Cardinal Sin Starka, while quite a different in recipe and ingredients, is the only one that can match the taste and quality of the original.
I realize this is a niche market kind of product and only hope Cardinal Sin will keep it in the lineup for years to come. It’s a pity that it does not seem to be distributed beyond STL and perhaps a store or two...
Read moreFirst visited the distillery Memorial Day weekend 2023 while they were still in their original "digs". Having home brewed beer for over 20 years, I was really impressed with the simplicity of their setup and more important attention to detail. Tastes a few of their spirits and ended up leaving with a few bottles to take home. Did a road trip later that year and went out of my way to stop in and restock. They had just closed on the new location in downtown St Charles. Returning from road-trip 2024 in May and stopped in to see if there was anything new. Sure enough they had their "new" bourbon (Lust) available so I tasted and procured a couple of bottles. I like their bourbon and Starka. Wish we could get it in Okra-homa.
BTW need to edit the recipe Sideways Sin. It calls for: Add 3 oz...
