On Mothers day 5/9, the diamond on my wife's 17 yr old engagement ring fell out, was lost and she was devastated. This diamond was passed down from my mom and meant a lot to us. On 6/9 a miracle occurred when I found it. My 16th Anniversary was the very next day on. I called Askew, told them the story, and they asked me to come in so they can assess. After sharing my story (in greater detail) they rallied around me and was determined to get the ring fix. They called me back later that day and told me it was ready for pick up. They set the diamond back in place perfectly and added gold to it using an impressive laser tool, making it more secure than ever before. They cleaned it, shined it and polished it. It looked brand new. I got emotional when I saw it. Needless to say, when I totally surprised my wife on our Anniversary night with her ring (that she never thought she would see on her finger again) it was an incredible moment on our special day that we will both NEVER forget... I’ve been going to Askew for several months now and I love everyone there. The staff is all super friendly and very helpful. Very talented jewelers there. I’ve done some customer orders and some pending. All of the ones I’ve gotten back have been exceptionally well and exactly what I wanted. Examples, they helped my mom and I select a really nice mounting for her untreated yellow sapphire as well as they remade my class ring into a pendant and it blew away my expectations. They’re very honest people. An example is that I was inquiring if they could set my rhodochrosite in a bezel setting. It’s an extremely difficult stone to work with and I told them that there was another guy in Colorado who could do it but to avoid the hassle I asked them if they could, they said they’re not competitive and if they weren’t comfortable doing it then they would tell me. I don’t typically leave reviews, but the quality of repair I just had done was so outstanding - I’m putting a 5 star one up. I stopped by this place to have them take a look at what I felt was a poor ring repair by another jeweler (the prongs were not flush to the stone, the stone was able to move in the setting a little…I did attempt to have original jeweler fix, but they didn’t seem to see what I was seeing? So rather than go back and forth I sought out a 2nd opinion). From the minute I walked in the door, to the conversation and professional explanation of what they could see had happened in the previous repair…I realized I wished I had discovered and come here first.
