Goat Card Shop — Local services in Saint Cloud

I have to leave a negative review on this location, as my two visits to this location have unfortunately had a number of issues. First and foremost, like another comment has said, these guys are a glorified scalper shop; selling products over $7-10 over their MSRP price, you can find some of these products cheaper online, isn't the point to make these products cheaper in store? I was also purchasing a couple things and was trying to get upsold on something I didn't want, yes they tried to cut me a deal but I don't want to spend more than I can afford or want, it's not very professional to upsell your customer on stuff they didnt ask for. Retro Video games are sold way over what you can find them for on EBay, I don't own my own business but wouldn't a better practice be to sell more competitive prices than online retailers so you get a better profit on what you're selling? Tournament promo packs given to participants are from months ago, which could lead me to believe they're reselling the new promo packs given to them by bandai online. Yeah guys, the dogs a cute and friendly but when you're in what supposed to be a professional business, seeing dog urine on the floor just isn't a good look. On top of all that, these guys don't seem very enthused on helping customers, it seems like a shop they opened for them and their friends to hang out. After going to get a product they said they had, I had a worse experience and had to change review. Vibe when you walk in is that you are disturbing the employees. Trade in value was 20% less than what I was quoted on the phone, and the employee “helping” told me I didn’t have to trade my cards in if I didn’t want to. Thank you, I know this. That’s why I came to the store after calling for a week. Employees just kept talking about not giving fair prices to people that don’t shop at the store all the time. As my first time, obviously off putting to ever come back.

This was our first TCG stop while on vacation in FL. At first glance the store was small, got greeted by small loud dogs, and loud random YT videos playing on the TV. Looking past that, the workers are very passionate, down to earth, and love playing all kinds of TCGs. We got some demos of games we’ve never played, got some good deals on cards, and laughs along the way. The store has a little bit of everything in order to start playing any card game and video games if you are into that. Some improvements I would recommend, is add a kiosk to order cards quicker, update the website to include any discord, and add the full inventory to the website database.
