Wow! I was out walking wondering where I should go for a late lunch....and as I walked down 7th Place...the smell lofting out of the building made me stop in my tracks and say to myself...." Why have I never tried this place?!" So I stopped in and I am happy I did! I was greeted by the sweetest girl asking if I had questions...and while I checked out the menu I asked her what her favorite was...and she mentioned the steak sandwich...so I ordered it. It was PERFECT! Portion size was big enough to know down 6' 4" 250lb guys hunger...and the portions of meat/bread/veggies were great! (Wish it had a little more veggies though...) The taste... amazing! All for a reasonable price? Yup! There was a guy behind me that said his favorite was the chicken fantastic...so that's next (I'm guessing tomorrow at this point)... If you have not been here...you need to go! Vegetarian options....Gluten free options (my wife is celiac so huge plus) with food that is freshly made and has more taste than anything ever imagined by a fast food place! Great job guys!

I failed to take photos of the amazing food from the party Afro Deli catered for me. The food presentation, the ease in scheduling, the value, the absolute above the top customer service, I could go on and on! So instead I’m sharing photos of how absolutely happy my friends and family were. I can’t wait to host another shindig and have it catered. In the meantime I will be visiting soon for my beloved Sambusas. Et bien sûr je parleras français! Francophones, saviez-vous que le propriétaire et le chef parlaient français? Mes élèves en immersion ont les conversations les plus merveilleuses avec Chef Moussa.

This restaurant is somewhat overhyped—it’s a very ordinary, typical Chipotle-style establishment. However, don’t get me wrong—Chipotle offers a better selection and tastier menu options overall. During this visit, I ordered a chapati wrap with French fries and tea. The tea was decent—I’d rate it 8/10. The chapati wrap was essentially a flatbread filled with pieces of beef, lettuce , and some vegetables. The taste was below average, especially when compared to Chipotle. That said, the restaurant does have a nice atmosphere, good seating, and solid customer service.

Afro Deli ticks all the boxes that makes for a good experience: great value, service, and food. Now, I wouldn't say this food will change your life but for the portions and quality, it was pretty dang good. I ordered the lamb chapati wrap and fries which came with their house made tomatoe aioli. It was both delicious, filling, and is convenient for individuals who need to get something tasty and fresh to go. It wasn't too busy either so I was able to order, chat it up quick with the servers, and get out in a reasonable amount of time.

Lunchtime this place is very popular as employees from the local businesses come for a quick lunch. While that is an endorsement for the food, there can be a long line. It moves quickly though -- mostly because the menu is simplified so that most of it is pre-prepared. Still very delicious! I got the Yassa Chicken bowl on couscous. The chicken looks plain and not as flavorful as I was hoping. The couscous carries the dish with a touch of citrus (I think). Ive had the sambusa last year. The beef sambusa was/is amazing.
