Let me start by saying, the staff was friendly, the environment seemed fun, and it was easy to find. My biggest issue first and foremost, is that at a comedy club, the people sitting there have paid for a good experience. The person at the beginning (as they do at any comedy club) even told the crowd to please be respectful, don't heckle, etc. The people seated directly behind us were the worst people I have ever encountered at a comedy club, extremely loud, rude, and constantly shouting things at the comedians. And I mean constantly. To the point where the last comedian called them out multiple times, he was clearly also pissed off, and yet... still nothing done. Others around us were also very upset. After well over an hour of this nonsense, since nobody at the club was doing anything about these rude and disruptive people, I complained to one of the staff nearby. These people never got kicked out or even talked to about their behavior, and this is why my rating for the club is so low. It is your responsibility to uphold your own rules and ensure the experience people paid for is good. That evening was miserable. A final comment, although this part did not bother me even a fraction of the above... the website (and the people there) informed us we could order pizza and have it during the show. Our table was not approached during the almost 2 hour show until about the last 10 minutes, which makes the offer of serving food at the show pretty pointless. Maybe don't offer it if you can't fulfill it. And in this case, I was absolutely unwilling to stay another minute after the horrible experience we had. I almost never complain and am pretty patient, but this was my first time coming to this establishment, and unfortunately, it will...
Read moreBeware if you are using a Groupon. There are no details on Groupon stating this, but apparently tickets need to be purchased well in advance for the show of your choice, which is inconvenient if you work every Friday and Saturday in a job there’s no guarantee you’ll be off at the same time each day like my husband does. I intended to redeem my Groupon that evening before the show when I could guarantee (with work schedules) we’d be able to attend. Sales had already ended online. “Katie” responded to my email informing me that they also limit how many Groupon offers they allow per show, and that even if sales hadn’t ended we would NOT have been able to get tickets to that show that night because they had already reached their quota on Groupons for that particular date. Hopefully the comedy show is decent, I may never find out if I can’t get tickets before my Groupon...
Read moreI saw Steve Hofstetter here. It was the best stand up show that i've ever been to. Unfortunately, this club is in the city and parking is a problem. I parked in the structure close by and couldn't find a way back in, I had to walk all the way around the building. It was dark and I was accosted try to get back to my car. I was so glad I had Steve's books with me to use as a defense. But, I got inside the building okay and got to my car. I'll never be coming back here alone. As a woman it is terrifying to walk alone in the city at night. I hope Steve picks a more accessible venue with parking and better lighting for his next performance. Nothing against this venue, they were lovely, it's just the area they are in...
