While aiding a friend in getting benefits at this location, I was very disappointed at the lacking help available to the people waiting in line there. Although this is the MAIN head quarter for the needy down on luck, They treated me and my friend like homeless freeloaders, not human. Unprofessional. I feel very sad at this realization. This place also has no application assistance available as posted on signs. The workers there are majorly bitter and don't speak fluent English. It's as if you've stepped into some foreign country. Tip: I suggest you getting your medical benefits directly from the mnsure website. All others such as food support and energy assistance may go through this location but you should still consider doing it online. On a note, friend received very tiny benefits. Saint Paul is not a good town if you are suddenly down on luck. The benefits are near none and they make it very difficult to get back on your feet. Dissappointed to discover this.

I came in today and I asked if I could be seated because I have a disability and then staff proceeded to check in everybody before me . There are no clear lines or numbers that you were taken before being seen staff or just taking anyone, according to who they see fit There is no organization at this site when I asked staff why they did this they refused to take responsibility and brush what I had to say it under the rug. Now this is a place for people to receive services regardless of their disabilities and I think that the way they handled the situation is very inappropriate. I was told that because the original office on Robert Street has been closed and (the downtown location was changed to this one )that Roseville library or Maplewood Mall would be better sites to be seen -as it was it took an hour for somebody to see me at this site, wish I would’ve known that ahead of time.

Moved to MN 2 months ago, I'm a single mom and I'm disabled. Do I really have to fill out all 3 applications? Talk about falling thru the cracks. I still don't have health insurance. They say to bring in your application, but hello!, i'm disabled. I pray things get better. I need to find a doc, I'm almost out of medication.

Terrible service. Ramsey county social services has the laziest most disrespectful people working their It would be laughable if it wasn't our government our taxes pay for and they weren't dealing with people that seriously need help. I don't know what's going on in Ramsey county but they need to be audited. Minnesota had a huge monetary surplus until Walz was elected governor. That's what you get with socialism though. Him and his cronies have wrecked our state. Before he was elected we had a couple of billion dollar surplus now we're in the hole billions. It's utterly disgusting. Why Minnesotans vote these worthless people in is beyond me. Anyway, something needs to be done at Ramsey county social services because the people working there are absolutely worthless. It's no wonder it takes two months or longer to process an application. I have this worker named Donna Martin and she refuses to return phone calls or emails. How do these people keep their jobs? Seriously?! I want to know. I've never asked my government for anything until I was seriously injured and can no longer work. I guess you have to be an illegal alien to get help in a country I paid taxes for forty years too. Something needs to change in Ramsey county. They need to fire and hire all new people. People who actually care about others and...

I went to Ramsey County more than 3 weeks ago because I could not pay my utility bill. The worker said she did not know what the bill was for even though it clearly stated at the top of the bill "Utility Services". It also clearly stated in bold letters DISCONTIUATION. On 9/20/2018 I met with the worker again and she said she would pay it. Two days later on 9/22/2018 my electricity was turned-off. Thanks a lot Ramsey County and mean nasty case worker - hope you treat other people better than you treated me. I am complaining to other agencies and this worker's practices will be investigated. If you think you are being treated unfairly you should also complain to the Minnesota Department of Human Services. I cannot express more strongly my disappointment in this agency and this case worker. I know another individual with similar needs. She was treated fairly and promptly but fortunately for her she did not have this mean, nasty case worker. Be very careful when you ask for help from Ramsey County. You could end-up with this mean, nasty case worker. This agency does not even...
