Lower Landing Park — Attraction in Saint Paul

Used to be a great path along the Mississippi. Since Covid and especially in the last several months this park has become a dangerous place. Homeless tents and trash everywhere, I mean dozens of sprawling tents, usually surrounded by stolen bikes being stripped/sold. You can tell there is a lot of crime happening. The light poles along the path have been busted open and the cooper wire salvaged, as well as the rentable scooters laying in piles. I don’t feel safe biking through and I’m a large male. Very nice and peaceful place to take your dog out for an evening stroll. Always a nice little breeze coming off the Mississippi, and plenty of cool spots to sit an watch the airplanes as they come and go (one of which, is the actual walking path, directly under the runway itself, which is so clear a sight (via the plain is literally only 50-70 yards above) that you can actually visually SEE the pilot and inner cockpit as it passing over!) Very loud because of the highway. There were cute dogs in the dog park. It’s well designed for pedestrians and cycling. Good view of the ships in the river. The highway bridge was impressive in terms of scale, and fun...
