Brenda McMahon Art Gallery — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

After purchasing some smaller ceramic tile works from Brenda, over the last 3 years, we decided to commission a much more complicated panel. We wanted something brighter and large enough to put in the entrance foyer of our home.

I wondered how this collaboration would work over 1200 miles away in Michigan, but is was surprisingly easy and effective. We did the initial planning and sketching in the Gulfport studio. Once we arrived back home in Michigan, Brenda would electronically send us a sketch that we could comment on and make sure we liked the colors, patterns, and stone options. It took 3-4 cycles, over a month, before we had a final design ready for production.

We were delighted with the process and the final product! It hung in the gallery for 3 months before we could travel down to FL and pick it up. We received many complements and several visitors offed to buy it 😀.

You can always by something “as is” but it was a wonderful experience to custom design and have something built specifically for our home. We would definitely consider doing a second custom ...

We met Patricia Kluwe at the Hyde Park Art Festival. We really loved her work! She told us she had more canvas paintings displayed at the Brenda McMahon Gallery in Gulfport FL. Patricia got us in contact with the gallery owner, Brenda, who was just wonderful to work with and we made plans to come in to see Patricia’s piece “St. Petersburg”. My husband and I fell in love with “St. Petersburg” and could not be happier with our purchase. The gallery is lovely with all sorts of original, unique and beautiful pieces of art. Brenda was extremely knowledgeable about the artist, Patricia Kluwe, and the actual piece we were looking at as well as all of the art she had on display. And she was super nice and laid back! We so enjoyed meeting her, we love our new art piece (thank you Patricia) and we will definitely be back to see what new things Brenda adds to her...

Brands McMahon and her Gallery are must-sees if you are in the Tampa Bay area, particularly the warm, vibrant, creative, accepting, unique little town of Gulfport… all the qualities that reflect Brenda and her Gallery! Since moving here 6 months ago, items from Brenda McMahon Gallery have slowly creeped their way into both my home in the form of the brilliant Ted Wray excavated book collection, and my fashion in the form of the breathtaking jewelry of Don David designs necklaces and earrings. I get compliments everywhere I go whenever I wear his pieces, or when anyone is invited into my home to view the book collection.
