To all whom are reading, it is out of my character to write a review (let alone a negative one) about an establishment, but after experiencing what I feel was the the worst representation of customer service I have ever received I felt it only necessary to warn anyone who considers coming into this boutique. Today my boyfriend and I were walking along the streets of Gulfport popping in and out of shops. As we approached Bo Tiki I noticed they had beautiful Brighton jewelry in the window and thought this was “just my kind of store!” It’s safe to say I was WRONG. I was mid conversation while I was opening the door only to have an employee jerk the door closed from the other end. Confused, I thought possibly they were closed and had forgotten to locked the door? Though I thought that was an aggressive approach, I took a step back to focus my view on the signs that were taped on the door. A “Must required” sign hung at the entrance, as my boyfriend had a face covering on (and I had one in my purse) I couldn’t believe how insane this situation was. I proceeded to say to say “are you serious” to which the employee bursts out the door to reply “Yes I’m serous! Read the sign! You are rude for even trying to come in here without mask!” Shellshocked at the most unprofessional experience of my life I decided it was not even worth my time at that point. I surely hope whoever was on the other end of that door was the owner of the shop, otherwise said employee is doing this business a poor justice! To jerk a door out of the hands of customer all a while shouting that they are “rude for trying to come into your business” is beyond unprofessional and completely...
Read moreI have to be honest. The shop had nice clothes and beautiful jewelry, but my experience tonight was so so. I am visiting my family here and I head out of town soon so me and a good friend of mine came into the store tonight after eatings dinner at Pia's. We came into BoTiki and were looking around. One of the reps, Jannette, was super friendly and was attentive. I loved her customer service. She was awesome!
The other rep. I don't know her name, but she had a slicked bun and wore a white dress. She was very cold and not friendly(I wonder why....rhetorical question) anyways she came by and asked if we needed anything. I said no we are fine, She gave me a cold look and looked at my friend. I noticed how she looked at us and ignored it. After that we kept looking and she was talking to Janette and when we came by to look at the shoes and things in that area she turned her head to watch me. I was surprised. I hope she reads this and knows that people see what you are doing. I know exactly why you were watching me(us). WE are not like that. WE are not thieves coming into your store to steal. Treat others, everyone with respect...
Read moreOh, my goodness!!! My sisters and I had some time to shop before flying back to Indiana after a 2 week vacation in St. Pete so decided to visit Bo Tiki. We thought we’d run in, look around, and then find an eatery close by for lunch, but we ran out of time for lunch!!! We spent a couple of hours in the boutique looking at all the unique clothing and beautiful accessories! What FUN!!! Carolyn and Janette were so friendly and helpful! In short order…we became friends!!! I purchased a cute white hat and a bright yellow “Oh My Gauze” sleeveless top—both of which I love!!! I wanted so badly to purchase a darling dress as well, but I resisted since I had already purchased 2 dresses several days earlier. Bottom line…if you are ever in Gulfport, you absolutely MUST visit Bo Tiki!!! Allow several hours to see everything in the store! You will love it as much as we...
