Update: this is why we rarely review and I’m changing my review to ONE STAR & here’s why: after raving about their food we went back the very next day and I even ordered after our meal a French toast order to go so that I could eat it in the car when I opened it in the car a couple hours later to eat it my entire French toast was blackened and burnt I didn’t have reception at the time to call the restaurant and I get very carsick so I couldn’t make the phone call but when I called today they said that they couldn’t refund my money they could only give me a credit now doesn’t matter that I live in Ohio and this place is in Florida they can’t refund my money even though they made the wrong food and I have pictures of it that I’m gonna post. So your money is only good there until you leave they’ll send you out the door with the most disgusting looking food told me to go ahead and dispute it with my credit card company because they weren’t refunding anything so that’s what I’ll be doing. Quite disappointing customer service and the woman was very nasty on the phone about asking for a refund of $12. We rarely review: this place we stopped for brunch: Wonderful experience overall, the staff is quite lovely and accommodating ✨..we had 1) shakshuka (rich and would be delicious over grits or polenta to help soak up the sauce—not that we need it but I could picture a shrimp and grits w this dish easily—either way it was aces) 2) à la carte grilled biscuits and gravy—not white sauce but still quite savory and delicious. I wanted to drink it tbh & I’m typically not into that ….&3) Frank’s French toast is to dye for!! Is more like a custard as they use a thick European bread which makes it light and eggy. It was served in the most perfect way and I would not change a thing! We will be back (most like tomorrow as they are open New Years days which is also another...
Read moreMy husband and I are staying for 3 nights. We arrived on a Friday morning and had to walk through the café to check in due to construction going on in the front. We waited around for about 10 minutes before someone was able to check us in. The host? asked if we had checked in the day prior, which was odd (and we hadn't), but then showed us to our room without checking IDs. I guess if you give the right name, you'll get a room, no questions asked. The room was not fully ready for us as the host said people would be in and out for hours to fix the 2 TVs. It's not a great start. The room looks nice but has 1 1/2 bathrooms and no closet. Why they think 2 toilets and no place to hang a coat is a good idea is beyond me. Mind you the room only has 1 bed. The Aruba is tragically located right next to the cafe. The door is adjacent to the cafes restroom. There is a door leading outside in the room that bumps into a café guests chair. We had an early flight, it's the hottest part of the day, we'd like to take a nap, and all we hear is banging, dishes crashing, café chatter, footsteps, and the public bathroom door opening and closing. Not to mention worrying about someone coming in to fix the TV. There's no breakfast included, but we're surrounded physically and audibly by the hustle and bustle of a cafe. This place charges too much for what it offers amenity and location wise. Edit: Marie and I had a nice chat about my concerns. She was able to fix the TV while we were out and most importantly got us a dresser for the room. I appreciate her taking the time to address our concerns and make the stay more comfortable. The room is quieter at night and the beds are very comfortable. I would only recommend adding black out curtains...
Read moreSea Breeze Manor is the best bed & breakfast I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at! Okay, so maybe it’s the only bed & breakfast I’ve ever stayed at—but regardless, it was a pleasure.
The hosts, Michael and Marie, were super helpful, kind, and informative from the very first phone call. Marie was always quick to respond to any questions I had and was incredibly helpful in resolving them.
The manor itself is beautiful, and my room—I believe it was the Key West Room—was comfortable, charming, and newly renovated. It had a smart TV, a Keurig machine, and K-Cups available in the lobby whenever I wanted coffee. The king bed was super comfy, with the best pillows I’ve ever gotten to rest on. The room was always comfortable, and the massive first-floor patio had tons of spots to hang out, plug in a laptop to work, or just enjoy the view of the Gulf right across the street.
The location is right on the beach and just a few minutes’ walk from Gulfport’s main street. The entire area is super cute and charming—a great low-key spot to take it easy for a few days.
The café on the property (separately operated) opens at 8 a.m. and is amazing. Everything I had there was homemade and seriously delicious.
Overall, between the great location, beautiful views, wonderful hosts, and cozy café, Sea Breeze Manor is a truly charming bed & breakfast that will leave you grieving its absence the moment you check out. Best place I’ve stayed in all of downtown St. Petersburg—no doubt.
Thanks,...
