This is my 3rd time here and have liked it every time. On this visit I brought an out of town friend who is looking to move to our slice of paradise. While many restaurants in GP are pet friendly, I chose GPBE because of the location and the great food. Our visit was on a Wednesday afternoon around 12:30pm. This visit made me think twice about returning. There was no one seated outside, inside there was a single table and two people seated at the bar. It took a few minutes to place my order. While doing so, I used a different form of payment for each meal. My friend couldn't go in b/c she had her dog with her. I ordered her the Margarita Flat Bread and a coke and I ordered myself the Philly Steak Flatbread - substituted chicken - and a diet coke. Each meal came out to $20.33. We sat at a table and waited for our food to come out. Her meal came about 10 minutes of waiting. Burnt. After waiting 10 more minutes and no food for me, I went inside to see if it was coming, I was told it takes time when you order separately and it would be 'right out'. Another 10 more minutes rolled by and my meal arrived, cold. Neither of us said anything, we ate what we were delivered, one burnt and one cold. The flavors were on point, thus the 3 stars, just not impressed with the service. Perhaps it was a bad day? I will say, while waiting for our food, I noticed a young lady pop out the kitchen door on a personal call, It didn't appear to be the same lady that waited on me at the bar. I am not assuming who this person was, so don't read anything into it. I will say perhaps the person cooking needs a different job. I will most likely be back, just may be quite some time before I do.
*We didn't take a pic of our food when it arrived, but here are...
Read moreFound this gem of a place last weekend. I don't frequent Gulfport often, but when I do they always seem to have some amazing restaurants, and my most recent visit to GP didn't disappoint. We were doing the typical weekend beer run, hopping from brewery to brewery. The GB+E is a really cool place. Amazing vide. The establishment is probably 50/50 on the indoor/outdoor experience. Inside you will find the bar. If I had to guess, it may sit up to 15 people. The indoor flair is what you would imagine. Typical FL brewery. But the magic happens when you step out onto the back porch area, where a few steps down you enter the outdoor area. And this is where the experience begins. The outside area is a mixed bag between privacy, intimacy's, and sitting in the thick of it. Which is an atmosphere, really accessible by all types of peeps. They even have some mondo sized fans in the back, but only one was on. Which was a bit disappointing. Would have been nice to have one of them blowing in my face. But I'm sure if I would have asked, someone would have turned on another one. I know that because the service was impeccable. We visited on a Saturday night. It was busy. If I had to guess, it must have been 85% to occupancy. We ordered food and beers for days. By the time we found a table and sat down, food followed us about 5 minutes after. And the good folks that work there constantly checked in on us to see if we needed anything else. Prices were extremely good. Beer was good. The experience was amazing. Highly recommend. Restaurants sometime come and go out in Gulfport. This is one, I hope would stay for a...
Read moreThere’s so much greatness going on at this place it’s hard to know where to begin. Brewmaster Jason Toft continues to craft delicious beers in a range of styles, from the award-winning Gulfport Gold to the popular Hippie Oasis Hazy IPA, as well as hefes, porters and sours. Executive chef Sierra Espinosa, meanwhile, has curated a creative menu full of elevated versions of classic bar food options like grinders, hot dogs, street tacos, burritos and salads, along with weekend specials that will blow your mind with their combinations of ingredients and flavors. But most importantly of all, the team behind the bar each and every day greet guests like old friends. In the five years since they opened, the brewery’s owners and staff have become the epitome of Gulfport’s vibrant and inclusive personality. They’ve also been stellar community members, earning a “Spirit of Gulfport” award from the city for their leadership in recovery efforts in the early days following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. So when you’re down in Gulfport walking near the waterfront, maybe want to grab a beer or some food, check Gulfport Brewery + Eatery out.
