Vinoy Marina — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

The marina is a great location, but the dockmaster (Wes) is grumpy and totally unhelpful across the several days we were there. Asking him to help us with our lines was a big ask for him. I was repeatedly asked why I was coming in the gate of the marina (not welcomed back - since he met me already!). The Renaissance hotel is great. Amazing marina in a great location. You can walk to museums, terrific restaurants, parks (one of which is a great dog park) and all that the St. Pete waterfront has to offer. Great place to look at the boats and get the feelings of how the other half lives.Luxury boats in and out as well as many permanent clients.Intersting to watch receptions and parties on one or many boats.But...thankful to watch from the sidewalks.I guess I like dry stable footing and that is the way it will remain...
