My hubby picked this place and he is usually more of a "standard" guy, which means he usually goes with the tried and true like Hiltons. So this was a BIGG surprise. It is a boutique hotel, and is more in line with places that I would pick. Its an old building that has been gutted and completely redone. The lobby area is "interesting" i.e. cute but not comfortable, but note that it is probably great for millennials. The couch is very chic and nice on the eyes, but not comfortable. I love the designer touches with a very well done wine display in the dining "area". The breakfast bar is neat and easy to use and access.||The bedroom decor (room 8) is also "interesting". It has a faux canopy bed. The mattress was VERY comfortable. The room is small. The decorator had a field day. The bathroom tile is very unusual and chic. Unfortunately, the bathroom is very small and there is no where to put your stuff. The shower had shampoo and conditioner but no soap so we used the soap bars that were provided, but there was no where to place the soapbar in the shower which made it a bit awkward. There was a slight urine smell in the bathroom. The most awkward thing was that the decorator took the original door off the hinges and hung it on a barndoor rack, which was cute but the door kept rolling off the side/ends. ||Parking was a bit awkward/tight but workable and the pool area and outdoor seating areas were very nice. ||The desk clerk/attendant was super attentive.||The best that can be said is that it is super convenient to downtown. It is a 2 block walk to the waterfront and most tourist attractions, and the price was reasonable.||In summary, This place is a decorator's dream with great service and...
Read moreEverything about this place is fantastic! Clean, well stocked, located in a safe area, and awesomely decorated. An historic home that’s been converted in to a hip B&B feel - updated and fancy interior, fixtures, everything. Location is spectacular too! Super quick walk to fun shopping, eateries, coffee shops, and the St Pete Pier. Mark and Maria are very kind owners, and would pop in every day for a period of time to work on the place (it’s 2 weeks new!) and greet guests. We were greeted by Mark, who happily carried our bags up to our room - a nice gesture as he certainly didn’t have to. The rooms are equipped with everything you need - coffee, hair dryer, clothes iron, shampoo, etc; everything you’d expect from a “normal” hotel room. They also provided a surprise bottle of complimentary wine! Not sure if that’s standard or not, but it was a delightful surprise. The pool is sparkling and feels wonderfully private, and they are one of the few places in St Petersburg that offer a hot jacuzzi to soak in, which was SO nice in January. It’s not a typical hotel though - there won’t be designated staff to greet you. It feels more like an AirBnB + hotel mix. All doors are locked with keypads, and Maria provides the codes on your arrival. We had the place to ourselves the first night, and it felt very homey. Note that parking is tight, and if you have a large vehicle, free street parking is available all around. We would return in a heartbeat. We love booking with small businesses and giving them our support instead of the big box chains, and this place gave us a weekend to remember. We wish Mark and Maria all the best in their...
Read moreWe spent 4 nights at the Prestige Collection boutique hotel in May of 2025 while visiting family in the area. Great experience all the way around. We will definitely stay there again
Andres was Mr. Everything…he greeted us, he checked us in, helped with luggage, showed us our room (and the hotel amenities), offered a glass of wine, birthday greetings for my wife (complete with a muffin with candles) and he straightened our room. If you look up hospitality…his picture should come right up! We meet the owner, Mark on our way out and he was just as friendly and welcoming as Andres.
The room was small but adequate with quaint, old world charm. The beds were very comfortable and they brought us more comfortable pillows that we requested. Despite the age of the building, it is spotlessly maintained. All the public spaces are welcoming and kept very clean, including the pool, patio sitting area and lobby.
This felt more like a bed & breakfast with very proud owners and staff. It Is truly a unique experience…not your usual corporate hotel in any way.
The location can’t be beat on the north edge of downtown. The hotel is a block a way from some of the best dining and shopping in St Pete. A little over two blocks to the waterfront and an easy walk to the museum & pier.
We can’t wait for our next trip to St Pete…because we will definitely be going back to this...
