My wife and I have been in this Gallery several times. A friend of mine purchased a glass piece by Diaz, and I was ready to buy one. I was dealing with a young lady with straight dark hair medium build, who was trying to control me, wanted me to view the peace I wanted lit up in the back room. I had already seen what they look like lit up at my friend's and just wanted to buy it! Because I wouldn't follow her direction she became rude and told me to have a nice evening(snubbing me) This person's ignorance and rudeness cost them a sale. Assume there's some good sales people there to deal with but I won't be buying anything from this gallery I went back in and was able to buy the piece of art I wanted and everything went smoothly so I upped their score to a four. Would have been a five if the first experience wasn't as I explained.

During a weekend getaway to St. Pete, my wife and I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Ocean Blue. We were pulled in by the feeling we were walking by an art candy store. Being avid art fans but by no means professionals we were amazed by the variety and beauty of the art exhibited at OBG. While browsing and marveling at all the wonderful pieces we had the pleasure of meeting Carrie! A very knowledgeable and pleasant associate of OBG. We found exactly what we were looking for and Carrie was amazing she helped us understand the uniqueness and story behind our chosen piece. She was not pushy and we left feeling not only had we purchased a wonderful piece of art, but that we had made a friend. Thank you Carrie! Snoopy is home:)

We visited the St. Pete location of Ocean Blue last week, and were helped by Cezanne. We had visited the Key West location in ‘22, and were so impressed that Ocean Blue was on the must do list for our St. Pete trip. Cezanne was extremely knowledgeable, and has a passion for the art that made a stop at an art gallery into a memorable experience. We were there primarily to see the Harlan’s, but were captivated by the Clarita Brinkerhoff pieces as well. We were a bit disappointed there were no Jim Carrey pieces on display, but wasn’t a big deal. When we’re in the market to buy this Fall we will certainly be back!

Staff here is excellent- the owner however is atrocious. I've come to realize that the owner offers certain respect & courteousy towards you if you're dressed a certain way. When a group of lady friends & I came into this establishment very well dressed in expensive shoes & dresses, the owner had no problem with us taking photos/video of the art- didn't say a word, chatted us up. Extremely courteous.

However, when I passed by & saw the owner talking to someone in the window, I returned in jeans & a tank top two weeks later. I whipped out my phone to show the girls "I'm back!" & I was told by the owner "Uhh, no pictures in here." When I politely aplogized & mentioned that he allowed us to take photos last time, that I'd been in a couple times & wasn't told to put my phone away- he scowled at me & repeated in an slow voice, "There's NO photography in here." & dismissed me by turning to finish his conversation.

In writing it doesn't seem all that rude, but the way I was treated by myself in a tank top was vastly different than how my group of attractive, well dressed friends & I were treated & thats not right. We've all got videos on our phone of us talking with him- for him to treat me so rudely because I wasn't dressed impeccably that day is misogynistic. If I could leave half a...

first off, we walked in the store because me and my friend are really interested on making a piece of art to put up in the gallery, we walked in and asked one of the employees how the process would be and her response was they only do known artists or artists that are either close to the owners or the owners have seen them in galleries, which is an acceptable response, however, we would’ve loved for someone to at least review and inspect the art piece. after asking those questions we walked around the place we saw about 2 art pieces that were interesting and that were good quality and original and not prints. the art itself seems very kitsch, with excessively loud colors with lack of color theory knowledge, there was also several pieces that seemed unfinished low skilled and the outrageous price of $5k to $6k which is an insane price for the art piece, the way we could describe these pieces is child drawing of a shark and other sea creatures, un-painted and un-finished look. the way we felt when we walked in was being watched and followed throughout the store. for people interested in professional art i highly discourage people from coming...

May 23rd @ 2:15pm. I assist people with developmental disabilities. A client asked to see art work today. So I told her about Ocean Blue. To my surprise, staff was RUDE to say the least. I have been several times and NEVER experience such a rude and unprofessional group of people. The lady to the front counter did not acknowledge us, yet stared. So I told her we were just there viewing the gallery. She said ok. And continue walking. While we entered the back of the gallery she panic and ran to the back to just watch us as if we were going to steal something and run out the emergency exit. I have NEVER felt so embarrassed!!! Remember people, you dont have to look rich to have money!! Sadly, what she didnt know my husband spoke to someone previously in regards to a painting he was interested in purchasing. But they WILL NOT get my money!!!! We have two businesses and well capable of purchasing whatever we want!!! Dont discriminate us base on color or because we wasnt dressed to your standards! HIGHLY...
