City of Salem Public Works — Attraction in Salem

Well I'm new to Salem just bought a house here and needed to get my water turned on . I call set it up for May 15th everything went smooth at first BUT after 4 months of service I still hadn't received a bill I called the office in (June) asked where my bill was. I was told dont worry we hold a month out so you'll get one next month!! Ok well I did not get a bill the next month either so I call back wheres my bill (July) was told should be there anyday that was the 6th of July wellll no no bill yet!!! So I email the office manager about a week later still looking for my bill . She tells me to call the office she's on vacay or something but I've called 2x already and I needed someone to take care of this! Few days later at the end of July i get a email from her stating i know owe 213 dollars because THEY WEREN'T MAILING ME MY BILL FOR THE PAST 3 going on 4 MONTHS!!! And I still haven't seen a bill it's now first of August!! Terrible buisness practice obviously and its not like I can take my buisness elsewhere!😒😒 as of today I'm still waiting on my bill...

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE CITY OF SALEM WOULD GIVE OUT PARKING TICKETS ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS DURING A PANDEMIC . People aren’t working and life this year is already hard enough for most and you are going to have people drive through and ticket cars parked the wrong way for five minutes while dropping groceries off on a lunch break!

IS THE CITY REALLY HURTING THAT BAD FOR Money .

BE COURTEOUS AT LEAST AND GIVE A WARNING FOR THW FIRST TIME .

I very rarely pull up to my house the wrong way and if I do it’s literally to drop off groceries or something of that nature for five or less minutes. I don’t even park that way when I park for a long period of time !

I JUST CANT BELIEVE THE CITY IS TRYING TO MAKE THINGS HARDER ON THERE RESIDENTS WHO ARE ALREADY FACING A BUNCH OF HARD SHIP ALREADY !

I just wanted to give a huge thanks to the people who took care of me yesterday evening. I had water spewing from inside the meter box so I called and was able to get through to the dispatch worker with no problem. She was awesome even though I was freaking out just a little 😇. She called her emergency worker out, and told me that he was fixing a water main but he would come out when he was done. When he arrived he was very positive and happy to help. It was dark and late but that didn't phase him at all. He knew exactly what to do and had it resolved in a few minutes. I'm so greatful for for everything he and dispatch did and how this was...
