b space salon — Attraction in Salt Lake City

DO NOT TRUST THIS SALON. I’ve only been once so i can only speak for one stylist. I went in wanting to retouch my blonde. I did have quite a bit of regrowth so it was a bit more difficult than a normal retouch, but I’ve been blonde my entire life so i know how the process should look and feel. First of all, my scalp was burning and stinging intensely. I have gone from darker tones with more regrowth meaning A LOT OF BLEACH. It has never been so severe in the hundreds of times I’ve been blonde. The stylist noticed how itchy i was and said “as long as the burning doesn’t make you cry, we can keep the bleach in”. That was an immediate red flag as no one has ever burned me this much. I decided to trust her anyways, and the end result looked okay (not what i was hoping for, but okay) in the warm lighting at the salon, so i went home planning on using purple shampoo to help the brassiness. What i saw at home with the flourescent lighting in my bathroom made me scream and start to sob uncontrollably. My hair was orange and yellow and white in different places. Some pieces almost look purple. I’ve never seen a more horrible tone of blonde. My scalp burned for 6 days afterwards and i was so self conscious i had to call in sick to work. I decided i would spend additional money at another salon to fix this mess because i will NEVER let them touch my hair again. The new stylist examined my hair and scalp and was in shock. She showed me various bald spots that were NOT there before, and told me my hair was on the verge of breaking. We had to tone it to grey in order to fix it. I still felt self conscious cause I’ve never desired grey hair, but it looked so much better than before. I ended up paying B space $190 and then another salon $200 to correct their mistake. Of course, i assumed B space would be MORAL and at least refund me a portion of my service, but they denied any refund SOLELY because i went to another salon to correct their mistakes. Apparently they had no “proof” even though i called them and told them about it right after, showed them various pictures (including pics of the bald spots!) and went in person to talk about my situation. This is the best salon I've ever been to!! They are very talented and skilled with hair cuts, coloring and extensions. Everything is clean, classy and edgy. Everyone is friendly, caring, fun and courteous and will do all that they can to give you what you ask for. Jared is my personal favorite; he actually cares about every single one of his clients and always goes the extra mile. If you see him outside of the salon, he'll say hi be so friendly and personable! Because of his skill and talent, my hair has never looked better! I have so much more confidence because I feel like my hair is something out of a Vogue magazine. There was this one time he was putting extensions in my hair, and we didn't have enough. He stopped everything he was doing and drove out to go get more extensions, so that he could finish all of them in one appointment. Who does that? That's amazing! And they are all like that! I am a low maintenance person but oh how I have missed a great cut and heart to heart chat with Michael Noragon. He has been my friend and stylist since 2006. b Space Salon is exceptional in every way. Bright, clean, professional, compassionate and a great value for excellent services.
