I am telling you now this is one of my favorite spots and I don’t have many to call my favorite. Whether you drink or not it is a must try. However, in saying that I must mention. This is a Bar establishment not a restaurant. I.D. 21 + I Love this place! The owner has done so great with keeping this place nice, clean, and a comfortable place to be in this area of salt lake. He also owns the Willies across the street which is very different. Same great crowd, awesome bartenders, but its smaller and cheaper drinks. They still deliver food from their delicious bacon wrapped cafe located in Big Willies. Back to Big Willies, Their food is absolutely amazing! I have never ordered anything that wasn't made fresh, completely yummy every time. They have a full bar with lots of different draft beer to choose from as well as bottle and canned options. They have a huge pool room (the owner keeps the tables immaculate and new with straight unbroken pool cues and tips.) They also have steel tip dart boards and T.V.’s for your choice in sports watching in any room your in including 2 outside sitting/smoking area at both ends of the bar. One of which that also has heating in the winter and sun shades for the summer. They hold stand up comedy and poker on Tuesdays and painting nights on Wednesdays. (Could be off on the days) Every night and day they have cocktail, liquor/beer, and food specials at a discounted price, even taco Tuesdays. :) I am unsure of each of their nightly events but be sure it's never boring. The bartenders are great and friendly and no matter how busy they are, with the vast amount of space in this bar; you will never be waiting long for someone to get you another drink or taking your order. Forget standing at the bar trying to get the attention from the "busy bartender" they will come to you . They also have a rewards program giving you points from what you spend letting you use them for drinks or food later. (Not sure if they have continued this program) The bathrooms are always clean and all the bars, stools, and table tops are in clean and excellent condition in this place. This owner takes pride in his two businesses as any owner should and it shows in every aspect this establishment. If you come here enough you will always see him traveling back and forth helping his staff out and friendly with all his customers making this place have a comfortable feel you will always want to come back too. If you haven't been here then you should and if you have you know how great this place is. Open 7 days a week and even sells breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Did I mention their food is amazing?? I wish I had more photos but my phone is usually the last thing on my mind when I come here. Enjoy!

Reply to owner Patrick, as we spoke in person I tried to explain my experience and would not be heard. I will explain here about my experience. I don’t drink all the time. I ordered a liter of beer one day because no one comes around to ask, so ordered the larger beer so I didn’t wait two hours to get a drink while I played pool, also I have no problem going to the bar for a drink, but that’s is typically a server job. I don’t normally get that beer or that amount at once. I don’t drink the same things all the time. So lets get this straight, once a liter, then came here again weeks later got served a liter of strong beer before I even got to my table. I appreciate the service but not when it’s not what you want, and never got asked. Feeling bad at this situation I drank said beer. Next 3 visits were the same. Never got asked again if I wanted anything. Might be good service if they took the time to ask what you want. Last time it got returned, nothing but attitude from said server. Tried explaining to owner, owner explained, that’s great customer service. Also Add a healthy meal so I can eat at the establishment, that would be nice. I went for a pool tournament. Asked for a menu after being there half my day, took 15 minutes for getting menu and over an hour before she came to take my order. maybe we need a refresher on the meaning of tip. To insure prompt service. I’m sorry if you can’t show customers any respect then the customers aren’t going to return. If it wasn’t for the pool side, I’d never enter this establishment again. That being said I was told I was rude and talked bad to said server, in fact other than the few times I’ve actually ordered from the bar or server I’ve only asked for the drinks with please and thank you. I came to the owners because if I was in his position, I’d want better from my staff. Also was told by owner that he has to keep said server on because she was part of buying the bar. All in all I don’t plan to come watch and play pool here anymore. Better vibes, friendly service and tables elsewhere. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Also I’ve been a manager of a beer bar and the servers are the face of your business. Let’s talk cleanliness, or lack there of. It’s getting better I believe. Still dust falling from ceiling fans, dirty, soapy coffee. There is a lot more but just wanted to share my experience. I hope everyone that goes has a better experience than me. Patrick, please listen to your customers. We aren’t the only ones having trouble with this situation here. I love getting to spend time with my friends but not when I’m constantly looking for basic customer service or respect and not finding it.

It might take a visit or two to get in the groove but this place is your very own! Willies is more than a dive bar, 'it is home.' You will meet some of the best people Utah has to offer inside these four walls (or across the street at Willies Lounge). I showed up expecting cheap drinks and cheap company but left with an impression I will never forget. The staff will know your name and probably even have your drink poured before you walk in the front door. If you are soft don't be shy, it's your personal initiation to the family. Business Executive or down on your luck this is a place where everyone has a seat at the table. Yeah they call it a dive but the the menu runs deep with the Buffalo Wings in first place. If you are looking for something special look no further than right there at Willies! P.S. I've been married twice, but if I decide to make it a third you'll be dang sure I will be doin it HERE! "IF THEY'll LET ME" lol

The nachos are good. The ginger beer is bundaberg.

I cannot speak to the rest of the bar because I was only here for nachos. The servers, bouncer and bartender were cheerful, nice, and they all seemed cool though. Seems like a nice sports bar but I'm not built for sports bars. They be too loud and crowded for me.

Toppings: Cheddar cheese, sliced olives, sliced jalapenos, sour cream, diced tomatoes, refried beans, ground beef and salsa in a side cup.

Looks: They looked good, they came out stacked on a plate like a mountain. I personally don't love it when they're all stacked up because it makes me think there's less toppings but it saves table space so I don't blame them.

Taste: They tasted good, I didn't dislike how anything tasted. The jalapenos and salsa had little/no kick which some people might appreciate but I prefer mine to have some kick. Overall it tasted good but not super flavourful, like nothing really popped out as super good or super bad.

Refried Beans: Honestly, I find the inclusion of refried beans a little weird. They weren't terrible, just your average restaurant refried beans experience. I did kinda dislike how the bottom two layers of chips were all soggy by the time I got to them because the refried beans were on the bottom of the plate.

I just find it odd and not something meant for me I guess.

Cronch factor: The nachos went cronch all right.

Overall, I thought the nachos were good. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to eat these, especially since it's in a sports bar and those tend to be loud, but, in the right situation, I could see myself coming back and getting...
