I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this PLACE & IT'S INSTRUCTORS! I try to make at least 6 classes a week & it's true what they say on their site that none of the classes are the same. Therefore you don't get bored & what not! Even the exact same classes with the exact same instructors mix things up! I literally lost an inch around my waist after going for 1 week! I'm already getting sooo much more toned, lean, & my posture is improving! They will tell you modifications if you have an injury or have weak areas of your body as well as modifications to challenge yourself more! & the best part about it is all the results and amazing changes to my body yet it seems too easy! Regardless if it "seeming easy," trust me - you're still getting a great full body workout & I'm still waking up sore (but a good sore!).
The app is great, you can see all the classes you've done, see your accomplishments, there's challenges on there. You can schedule/reschedule/cancel your classes, it gives you the option to add it right to your calendar for you. Each class is explained on the app & more!
I was excited to see on the pamphlet they give you that they incorporate "barre" into a class. However the class seemed like a "center/balance" class or what it's described as. It wasn't much of a workout (the "control" class) & did not incorporate Barre (so I only did it once - possibly it is incorporated at other times in said class?) yet there hasn't been any Barre in any of the classes I've done. I know this studio just got up and running in May so hopefully they have more "F.I.T," & "SUSPEND" classes soon (only 1 each; both on thursdays). I am excited to try them, just hard to fit into my schedule with such limited availability.
I enjoy the people in the classes & the instructors are great & positive, so Thank you ladies at Club Pilates (Marmalade) you're the BEST! p.s. It's GREAT FOR MEN as well!! WELL WORTH my money!!
The studio I go to is the "Marmalade" downtown) Club Pilates studio (which btw if you travel I know there's studios all over...
Read moreI was diagnosed hEDS, hyper mobility, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis…the list goes on. And while I’m hyper mobile, I still need to maintain proper mobility to prevent injuries. Exercises like yoga are not good for my joints, so my doctor suggested Pilates and I was blown away by the difference and the effectiveness! I can’t do some things the instructors teach, but they never make me feel like I’m not doing the work when I modify certain moves. They are also very quick to help when I’ve gone too far beyond the movement, or don’t understand what they’re asking us to do. Dorothy is one of my favorites and is amazing. She’s the reason I signed up! Facility is in a perfect location for me and is always clean. They give you the option of pausing your membership if you need to for $15, which I had to utilize and was grateful for. The only cons are the schedule offered and the cost. This may be a personal thing, as I completely understand the instructors need to be compensated and have lives of their own. But it would be nice if they offered pay by the class for people like me who love it but are unable to commit to the allotted time...
Read moreI used to be intimidated by Pilates. Some of my friends told me it was really tough, and honestly, the membership price initially felt a bit steep. But I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try an intro class with Brinlee D—and I’m so glad I did. That one class completely changed my perspective, and I ended up signing up for a 3-month membership on the spot.
Since January 2025, I've been consistently going to Club Pilates and I absolutely love it. The instructors make all the difference. Daina C and Tami B are my absolute favorites—they're not only attentive, but also incredibly supportive, especially when you're unsure of what to do. Recently, I’ve also really enjoyed classes with Maia. Even though I struggle with some of the more advanced moves, I’m pushing myself and getting better with each class.
Pilates has made a noticeable difference in my life. My posture has improved significantly, and as someone with a larger bust who used to suffer from frequent back and shoulder pain, I can honestly say those issues have nearly disappeared.
If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it....
