El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

What a chicken!! You must visit this place! The people in the kitchen are very nice people, they are always smiling and greeting customers. You have plenty of options and I, as Mexican can tell you that this restaurant makes very tasty food. You get your meals served in less than eight minutes even though there are several customers on the line. The place is clean and you get your favorite sauce yourself. Don't miss the "pico"! It is a little spicy but you definitely need to give it a try. One if the things I and my family liked the most about this place was that if you liked your food you need to ring a bell by the exit door, if you do it, all the crew will shout "gracias". While we were there, we heard the bell at least 20 times, meaning many people like the food. One convenient thing was that the parking lot is enough big so you will always find a parking place. One las comment about the chicken. If you like just juicy, tasty grilled chicken you can have it with two sides of your choice but if you love chicken breast just try the tostada, then you will have little pieces if chicken breast. Came to try out Pollo Loco for the first time. Placed an order online for 5 tacos (two street, three basic), and 2 churros at 8:08PM, with the app saying it would be ready for pickup 9 minutes later at 8:17PM. Showed up at the drive thru exactly when it said it would be ready, but it wasn’t. Totally understandable, sometimes timing estimates aren’t accurate, I get it. They told me to pull into one of the curb side pickup spaces. While I waited there, at least 9 cars came to the drive thru, got their order, and left. I waited at the curbside pickup for an additional 20 minutes before my order was finally brought out with basic “here you go!” No simple and quick “sorry for the wait” or whatever. Got home with my order and, IT WASN’T EVEN CORRECT!!! They gave me 3 street tacos, a rice/bean/cheese burrito, and the 2 churros. So, almost half an hour from a simple order placement, and it can’t be completed in a reasonable time, let alone right?? If I could rate 0 stars I would. What I witness was outrageous! While I was there I used the restroom. As I was washing my hands and employee in an El Pollo Loco uniform came up behind me. Fixed her shirt and walked back to work WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS I immediately followed as I had just finished washing my hand. When I saw her I motioned that she needed to wash her hands and she disappeared into the kitchen. When I asked 2 guys standing behind the counter. One with his hand inside of a tea container (I hope they wash that before putting in back) Who the manager was one guy told me it was the other guy. When I explained what I witnessed the manager seemed dumbfounded with no clue what he should do and the guy with his hand wedged in the iced tea told me he would handle it. Neither one moved.
