This gallery reached out to me repeatedly saying they would love to have our printing press for an event. We discussed the details of the show, including set up time, accommodations, etc. I asked if there was anything we needed to know and they confirmed the details repeatedly in writing. They never mentioned any type of a fee.
An entire week AFTER the show Mitch sent Parker to tell me I owed $250 to “rent” the gallery for that night. They asked me if I had cash and if I could pay them right then which was very strange. They said it was a sliding scale fee depending on how well the artist did at the show. The event was not promoted by the gallery.
I requested an invoice for my records at which point Mitch said he would rather not speak to me ever again. I guess he couldn’t come up with an explanation to justify why he was claiming I should owe him a fee I was never informed of.
Artists beware and do not do business with this group without a signed contract and clear expectations. I have received numerous DM’s about how Mitch treats local artists since this interaction. They will try to rob you. Our community...

He isn’t very organized, his passion is obviously the artwork, not scheduling and finances (it’s no problem, you just need to take initiative to communicate about payment, etc.). In both classes you learn foundational principles that you can use to build on and make all sorts of stuff later (if you have equipment for it). However, you are not creatively restricted in the torch work class and make fun things in both classes. The instructor is a great teacher. Safety is not highly focused on in the classes. He tells you a few things and gives you some safety glasses, but if you do something wrong or aren’t very careful, you will likely get injured. Despite this, I give it five stars because it was such a...
