Relax Nails — Attraction in Salt Lake City

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I went in yesterday to get a full set of nails, and disappointment doesn't even begin to cover it. The lady who did my nails did SUCH a horrible job at painting my nails. The way she did my acrylics were okay, but she left bubbles of nail polish on my nails, and some spots on the side of the nails without polish. I've never had such a terrible manicure in my life! I asked her if she could repaint ONE nail and she got so upset and angrily removed the nail polish from all my nails and redid it all over again, which I appreciate her attempts at good customer service, but I was running late so I wish she would have just left it like that. The worst part is that my cuticles are destroyed. She kept filing my nail and cuticles to the point where she made them BLEED. And I'm not saying a little blood, no. SIX of my fingers were bleeding and this morning when I woke up, my cuticles were infected, they look yellow and black from the dry blood and infection. Oh, and she kept doing my nails while blood was still coming out of my cuticles for about 15 minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if the nail polish she used on me, still my has my blood on it. So unsanitary. To top it all off, after she was finished, she told me to go dry my nails under the blue light and left me sitting there for about 10 minutes without checking on me once, or even saying goodbye. I left there completely disappointed, hating my nails. Needless to say that this morning, my nails look way worse than they did yesterday and the nail polish has marks on it. I absolutely loved this place so much! I’ve always had very bad experiences at nail salons so i made sure to do a lot of research before going to one again. This place had great reviews so i tried it! I was very very far from disappointed! On weekends they only do walk-ins but they do appointments during week days. I went during the weekend and even though they were busy as hell they still got me in quickly! The staff there are so funny and talkative it’s crazy. They got me (who is an antisocial) to talk and laugh which i loved! They even got me talking to other customers around me! Super positive environment! Even though they were busy the girl who did my nails took her time on my nails and did an awesome job! She did exactly what i wanted! And when i didn’t know what exactly what i wanted she showed me examples and made sure i got what i wanted! I will definitely be coming here again and would recommend this salon to people! Well my first impression of this nail shop was a neg 1 star and to be honest if I had time I would have went somewhere else, well I didn't so I stayed.

I won't make this review long so i'll start with the pros.. the nail techs know what they are doing and they are pretty quick at their line of work and prices are very reasonable!!

Ok so now that I am done with the Pros here is the Cons.

The nail salon is out dated and unkept. As soon as I walked into the salon I seen out dated chairs, and dirt. I was not impressed. For a nail salon to be so run down but make so much money does not equal out. Also for it to be a weekend they did not have the staff to handle the amount of people waiting.

The staff was nice overall... one male staff a little too nice if you know what I mean..

Overall I would only go if you are on a budget or short on time or if you dont mine the hood theme this place is right...
