They opened late this morning. The woman who unlocked the door offered no greeting to me or my maid of honor. However, when we started to look at bridesmaid dresses, she asked if we had an appointment. "Yes," I replied. "I'm a little bit early. My appointment is at 11." Rather curtly, she said, "Then someone will help you at eleven." Ana, however, came up to me shortly after that and had me fill out a form with the usual questions, including the question about budget (my budget was $3,500). I found the perfect dress, or at least, had narrowed it down to two (one was $1500 and the other $1900), and went home, all excited, to tell my mom about it. (I had originally planned to buy two dresses, one for the ceremony and one for the reception, but this, like my budget, wasn't something I was going to just "volunteer".)
Well...I tried to look up the dresses online on the designer's websites, as the lady had us take pictures of the tags and couldn't find it. I was worried so I called the shop to see if they were being discontinued. All they would tell me is, no they aren't being discontinued.
They won't give me the design number so I can show it to her online. Long story short, my mom won't shell out the money without seeing the dress on the designer's website because of the risk of counterfeit gowns. Bummer. Ana was very helpful, and the dresses I fell in love with I would have never picked up off of the rack were it not for her suggestion but for some reason they don't want to tell me what dresses they are so I can show my mom - who by the way was going to pay for my dress as soon as I found "the one".
I'm thinking the reason for the refusal is because I didn't drop cash right then and there at my appointment? Maybe that is their store policy but it sucks and leads one to question whether or not the dresses were actually authentic. Sorry, Ana. I would have loved to help you earn a nice commission on a beautiful...
Read moreI cannot rave enough about my experience at Bridal Galleria of Texas. My bridal consultant was Lissy and she was a dream! Lissy was so kind, patient, and responsive to my likes/dislikes as we tried on different dresses. Even other team members that were not part of my appointment were very welcoming and helpful. I left the store after my first appointment empty-handed because I wanted to honor other appointments I had already made and I wasn't completely sure I had found the one yet. But I soon learned that not every place is going to give you the same attention and care I had with Lissy, and not every store has as many beautiful options. After 3 more store experiences over 2 days, I kept feeling drawn to want to go back to Lissy and Bridal Galleria to try again. I can't explain it other than to say I just trusted them. As expected, Lissy was very reassuring that we would find something, and even the owner Gloria made some helpful suggestions during our hunt to find something that checked all those boxes in my brain. Sure enough - I went from thinking, "Does the right dress exist?" to "OMG, they found it!!". I was over the moon to say the least and knowing I was spending my money on not just my dream dress, but also a quality experience, made it feel that much better! I have already spread the word about Lissy and the whole Bridal Galleria of Texas team to anyone I know that is getting married. I can't wait for my dress to come in so that I can see everyone again. I can't guarantee you will find your dress, but I can wholeheartedly guarantee you will have a happy, worthwhile experience. And who wouldn't want to start their...
Read moreEditing my review to compliment bridal galleria again! After buying my dress from them they moved locations, the new location is stunning. Full of natural light for the perfect try on atmosphere and very classy. My dress came in and was perfect, but I was now 4 dress sizes / 80 lbs lighter than when I ordered it. It was HUGE. Kaitlyn recommended me to their go to seamstress, alterations by Alma, and she worked her magic. My dress was flawless on wedding day and fit like a glove. I got non stop compliments all night. I cannot thank Kaitlyn at bridal galleria enough for finding me THE dress. I will cherish these pictures forever! I had the greatest experience at bridal galleria with my stylist, Katelynn. First off, the store is immaculately clean, well presented, and inviting. Secondly, the stylists welcomed us in and told us we could browse while they brought out refreshments and snacks. Most importantly though, Katelynn went above and beyond to pull dress after dress that fit my vision and she ended up finding me THE dress. Katelynn was professional, supportive, and knowledgeable about the wedding dress shopping experience from start to finish. As a plus size bride I was nervous I wouldnât be able to try on a lot of styles, but they have a huge selection with plenty of plus size friendly options available. When I came back for the second time to actually say yes, Sofia was so kind and sweet getting me in for a fitting last minute. I would recommend Katelynn and bridal galleria to any and all brides looking to find the...
