I went here for a candlelight concert and overall the experience was ok. The volunteers and everyone working were great and the concert was beautiful.

The venue itself leaves a lot to be desired. The seating felt like a high school theater with the seating and the acoustics weren't designed for this type of event. It felt like it muffled the music. The talented musicians deserve a better venue.

By the end of the night, and after two back to back concerts, the bathrooms smelled like an outhouse. It was enough to gag you. It may be from people throwing TP in the trash cans but if the staff is mostly made up of volunteers (at least the bartenders were), it would behoove them to pay for a janitor to do a quick cleanup to freshen things up between shows. This was the way my experience ended as I left the venue.

As for the bar, the bartenders were very nice and personable, the drinks were alright. It would be nice if there were a few options for snacks that complemented a glass of wine, as wine on an empty stomach isn't that pleasurable. (Maybe I am asking too much, but just a thought.)

I would go again for another candlelight concert because it seems it's the only option in San Antonio. Fever should really explore their...

What an amazing place! This theater has a history dating back to 1947, and even though it has been renovated, you can feel that history when you walk through the doors. It's an intimate setting, not too big, but not small either. The seats are comfortable, and there is a decent amount of space between the rows (score one for the tall guys). This theater hosts a few things. I first saw a play here about four years ago, and last night, I saw a Coldplay tribute by a string quartet...it was awesome! They have a full bar in the lobby, so you can catch a drink before the show...another bonus! Fellas, if you're looking for a nice date night idea, stop banging your head on the wall and try this place out. Bonus notes: Parking is pretty good Get there a little early though remember the bar... The seating is first come, but it crowds up pretty quickly There is usually someone urging you to fill in the seats from the center of the rows out. It's slightly annoying, but they do it for a good reason. It's open seating, but honestly, there isn't a bad seat in...

A Candlelit Evening of Enchantment: The Riverwalk String Quartet Performing Romeo and Juliet

Stepping into the Josephine Theatre for the Riverwalk String Quartet's candlelight performance was like entering a different world. The soft glow of countless candles cast a warm, intimate light across the ornate theater, creating an atmosphere of pure magic.

The Riverwalk String Quartet proved to be the perfect accompaniment to this enchanting setting. Their performance was nothing short of breathtaking. Each note was played with precision and passion, weaving together a tapestry of beautiful melodies that filled the theater, showcasing their incredible talent and versatility.

It was a truly immersive experience, where the music, the candlelight, and the stunning surroundings combined to create a night to remember.

If you're looking for an unforgettable evening of music and ambiance, I highly recommend attending a Riverwalk String Quartet performance at the Josephine Theatre. It's an experience that will stay with you long after the final...

My boyfriend and I went here for the Queen and Beatles candle light concert and I loved it! The musicians were incredible and the atmosphere was great! For any photosensitive epileptics like me, the candles are not real and they do not flicker like real candles, so you shouldn't have any problems with the lighting. That's always my #1 concern. They do not allow any flash photography, although you always have the people (like the ones behind us) who claim they have no idea how to turn off their flash. You can take pictures and video during the last song, which for us was Bohemian Rhapsody. The musician who was doing the announcing had a great sense of humor and it was clear that most of the audience was there for Queen. On-site parking was free and the staff did a great job showing us where to park and checking us in. My only complaint about the venue is that the seats were a little hard, but not much to do about that.
