this is a complaint I sent last week when I had problems with getting helpful service because of my bad prints. Subject: bad print bad service Comments or Question: I originally complained about the librarian at the San Pedro Springs location. I went yesterday to reprint some letters that I just printed earlier because five of the letters were smuggled. The librarian told me I have to pay $1.00 to print them again which shocked me. She wasted time of saying "she couldn't understand why her printer would do that and it's never done it before". She couldn't understand that all I needed was five copies replaced, but she kept making excuses and asking irreverent questions. At one point, she asked me to forward the email to her so she could print them at another printer even though I'd already sent them to the regular printer. I didn't send her the email because they are voter names and addresses and are private, and I'd already sent my prints to the printer. Again, she asked me for a hard copy. I told her again, that I had already sent the documents to the regular printer and kept telling her the hard copy is in the printer. It took 10 minutes trying to make her understand a simple request to be completed. She finally released my prints and didn't charge me. I was so angry, so I put a complaint on the librarian. Then, I got a response to my complaint from and she said, "The librarian that assisted you misunderstood the situation and perhaps could have communicated more to get a better understanding of your need." She's been a librarian for a long time. I would think she would have better communication skills and critical thinking skills to handle all situations.
I went to the library again today and spoke to the manager, because I found more smudged papers. The top five letters were ok and I didnât look at all of them the first time. I went back to the library and printed them again and theyâre still smudged even though he printed something and itâs not smudged.
my prints are from an attachment to an email so I donât understand why mine are the only prints that are smudged. Then the manager refused my request for a four dollar refund so he advised me to go to...
Read moreI have loved San Pedro library for a long time. I use to visit regularly when Ms. Betsy worked here and my children were young. I also visited regularly to study while I was in college. It's been a while since visiting. Today, I was very disappointed. I came to study. It was too loud. I tried tuning out the noise. I finally moved over to the kid's section where I was quickly told I could not be without a child. There were no children around. This is ridiculous. Being in a public library in the adult area should not require me to have to bring it to someone's attention to use one's whisper voice. No consideration or respect for those of us there to read and learn. I am very disappointed. I left to...
Read moreI'll just say that the lady at the entrance should be better trained to do her job, which, by the way, is pretty bad, because she doesn't even know what she's doing. I went to get my card for the first time, because I'm a book lover, and the racist old lady at the entrance told me my ID wasn't enough, asked me for proof of address, and was VERY RUDE. What a racist old lady! By the way, I got my card at another bookstore, and her attitude was professional, NOT LIKE THAT...
