We went to the Valentine's showing at 8pm and it was amazing... it was sold out but even it was comfortable. The chairs are very comfortable. Michelle was our host and she taught us a lot about different stars and planets. For one the Sun is our biggest planet. She was very informative and patient with our questions. The dome with full of shooting star hearts! So pretty. And I got to even make friends. The parking was right across the street on campus so no walking across busy San Antonio streets and it was free. No doubt I love to go again...

This is a great experience for children and adults. They have different shows at different times even some for adults. Tickets go one sale 30 minutes before the show and you have to be there on person to buy them. Adults $5, Children & teachers with an ID $4. Amazing view of the stares and galaxy. It’s a fun activity to do with or without children especially during the summer when it’s too hot out side.

Update: The place is CLOSED due to covid, but the info here in Google maps states that is open, I went just to find that is closed, also the routes on map are not updated which makes the access really complicated. so my rating goes to Google Maps not the planetarium, I bet this is a Wonderful place.

I first visited when I was in elementary school over 40 years ago, although my husband has resided in S.A. his entire life, I took him for his first visit. We attended the 9:30 showing and really enjoyed ourselves. From the start we were offered a free ride from the parking lot to the building. The entrance area had great lighting, the facility was clean and the staff very friendly. We will be returning with our family to share the...
