I have been attending City Church San Antonio for about seven years now, and my family absolutely loves it. From the moment we stepped in, we felt welcomed by the warm and inviting community. Pastor Brett and Pastor Jon Pyle do an incredible job delivering sermons that are not only insightful but also deeply meaningful. Their messages bring a sense of peace and emphasize the importance of family, which resonates deeply with us. The Sunday worship is truly amazing! After a long, stressful week, it feels so refreshing and uplifting to be part of such a powerful worship experience. Kudos to the entire worship team for leading with such passion and dedication. One of the things I love most about this church is how inclusive and welcoming it is. No matter who you are or where you come from, you are embraced with open arms. The atmosphere is uplifting, and it truly feels like a second home. If you’re looking for a church where you can grow spiritually, connect with a great community, and feel at peace, City Church San Antonio is the place to be.

This review deserves best beyond words. I've made this my home church. I'm the type of person who church hops if I don't feel comfortable. I feel a church is not supposed to judge, but only talk about Jesus, God, and how to better ourselves. Not only do they do that, they also have programs to help anyway they can (PTO, Feed SA, KID City/daycare during services, etc.). If your like me and just want to get to know God and feel his presence again, come to a service. THEY HAVE A COFFEE CAFE! ☕💙🙏 Let there be no excuse not to come... we love you, GOD LOVES YOU! Please, let us help you find God again.

Went out to catch a concert at this venue and it was worth the effort to drive down. Ample parking, decent seating and helpful staff. Only complaint I can see someone having was where a few cameras were placed (if you were sitting right behind them) but it didn't affect us. Great night out and will consider future events here.

This church has gone very sadly downhill. I grew up here, so did my now ex husband and our kids. In fact, his family helped start the church many moons ago. Years ago I worked there with wonderful staff, and one by one those staff members have been chased off as the main offender was promoted and leadership turned a blind eye. I was let go during Covid which turned out to be an incredible blessing in my life, but it was done in such a toxic way that it broke my trust and I didn’t return to the church full time. My kids and ex continued playing large roles including basically running the production areas and volunteering on and behind stage and in kid city. Over the years one at a time, the decent humans have left over moral issues taking place. My kid’s dad decided to step away as well recently but as my kids are heavily involved and have been since birth basically, we chose to keep transporting them and allowing them to volunteer (namely my 16 year old). As of their dad’s last day, they have removed and blocked my son from all commitments, breaking his heart. This church is ruining good people one at a time. When I left I tried to speak to leadership and was brushed off. I spoke personally with the 2 main leaders of the church at the time and informed them of what was happening and was brushed off. Now you’ve hurt my kids. There is one individual at the helm of the majority of these actions and as long as you turn a blind eye and allow a toxic “Christian” to have power in so much of an organization, you will continue in the same circle chasing your tails wondering why you keep losing good staff, volunteers, and ultimately, followers of Christ.

“CityChurch exists so all people can believe and thrive in Jesus”

ETA: In response to this review previously being posted, they backpedaled and gaslit my 16 year old son. They never reached out to myself or his dad, or acknowledged the issues, just somehow hid the review. It’s unfortunate that the general tithing public can’t see the toxicity behind the curtain. Been to this church since 2014, during my most darkest times. This church has always brought me life. Here, I experienced the Holy Spirits healing MULTIPLE TIMES throughout the years. My most recent testimony was at our August - evening Wednesday revive. I was lead into a surrender moment, Where we were called to our knees to worship our Lord and give him our burdens! I was extremely hesitant as I get social anxiety... But I shook it off &took the moment to surrender. As I knelt, I completely forgot about the knee surgery I had just had a few months back, and it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to put weight on it. So as soon as my knees hit that floor, ripping sensations pulsated through my leg. As I wanted to get up and change my mind to this decision, I shook the ide off &stopped all the overthinking and said "NO! I'm staying here. You can take my leg off Lord, I don't care! I'll take the pain for you!!" And IMMEDIATELY as I surrendered my flesh, my pain subsided!! The Holy Spirit healed me! I stayed after service to get prayed for by the visitor pastor from Brazil (I'm so sorry I forgot his name!!!) but I was being tormented by demonic oppressions that I had collected throughout my years of doing witchcraft and living for Satan... I was pushed by my husband to recieve Spiritual healing from him and he worked with the Lord to deliver me from all of them! I felt released from every chain, curse, &bond and I've been filled with joy ever since!!!! 🙌

GOD IS AMAZING 🤍

THANK YOU CITY CHURCH FOR TRUSTING THE HOLY SPIRIT TO MOVE THROUGH...

Attended City Church for Revival yesterday on Aug 6th, 2025 (1st Wednesday of every month) and was very disappointed. They had a gentleman (a Curandero) from Brazil mumbling words while trying to bless people. People were sobbing uncontrollably and dropping to their knees where they stood as this Brazilian man was speaking to the crowd.

-As the Brazilian man escalated his preaching/blessing people while speaking in a foreign language (not English or Spanish, who also had an interpreter on stage to help him), one of the regular pastors came out and dismissed the crowd as people were already rushing out the doors.

-At the beginning of Revival services, one of the pastors stated that their church has Super-Natural Experiences that occur (this should have been my first warning). When the Brazilian man came out to preach, one of the pastors said they would be turning off the cameras and not broadcasting the remainder of serves (2nd warning). When the cameras were turned off, things began getting out of hand (people sobbing uncontrollably and dropping to their knees where they stood).

-I have attended regular Sunday services in the past, and they were joyful and fun experiences. But what occurred when the cameras were off is not what normally occurs. I believe City Chruch went too far for me. I hope this was a one-time occurrence and never happens again.

-After yesterday's experience, I need a break from City Church. I will probably not be attending City Chruch in the future after...
