If there is something more addictive than the little cheese biscuits here, I don't know what it is. Those soft, velvety to the tongue, slightly doughy basket of warm dream puffs are plentiful and provided for free as an appetizer. During a time when even Mexican restaurants are charging for chips and salsa, that's some rad lagniappe.
I had to do some serious throttling back, however, as we had come for the endless shrimp offering and had to save some room for the seven different types of shrimp dishes offered. To be honest, the expectation for exemplary culinary prowess here was where one might expect for a chain restaurant. OK. We knew it was going to be quantity versus quality and that did not disappoint. Scampi, skewered, and alfredo were what one might expect from what is most likely Asian farm raised shrimp and are typically rather tasteless even with the modicum of seasoning rendered here. The fried (Walt's) and new rangoon were a repeatable selection with the new dragon shrimp and coconut choices remaining untried. I liked the sauce for the rangoon shrimp which was slightly sweet with a sneaky Pete, cumulatively spicey after burn. It went well with the panko coating and the squirt of cream cheese in the first bite.
We ordered a second round mistakenly before we had tried all of round one and requested a change to our second order. As a result, our second order and our change order appeared all at once in table overwhelming dishes of shrimpdom. We ate what we could along with steamed broccoli and bland rice until the consumed biscuits began to swell and blotted out any remaining available room.
Typically in an all-you-can-eat situation, a restaurant is a little sensitive about removing un-eaten food. However, our waiter began hauling in an arm load of styro to round up the shrimp banquet of leftovers with no protest. To top off our to-go largesse the waiter brought out an unsolicited bag of those wonderful biscuits to take with us.
Red Lobster, we salute you (and the cornucopia of shrimp leftovers that now grace...
Read moreI’m so disgusted by the food and service they provided my family and I last night. Im embarrassed to had stepped my foot in this red lobster location. I’m even more embarrassed that I invited my sister-in-law who was visiting me from another country to eat there. It took them exactly a total of one hour and seventeen minutes to get our food out. While waiting the server told us it would take two minutes for our food to come out and that turned to 25 mins. Mind you it was not busy at all, there was only 3 tables in the whole restaurant. I can hear the back and front of the restaurant talk and making jokes. They think I’m stupid and won’t notice that the food was reheated. My 5 year old noticed how different the food taste. Our biscuit were dry and taste like nothing fresh. Alfredo pasta was super greasy and felt like I was eating savory whipping cream straight out of the box, my flounder was super dry and flat as a paper, the chicken tenders I ordered for my son was extremely dry, dry like it was cooked earlier and was reheated and served to us. Waitress stops taking our order to speak and laugh with another waitress in-front of us. I asked for no bacon on my potatoes and there was bits of bacon on there and on the plate as if they had mistakenly made it with bacon than scooped it out retouched it before serving. We barely saw the waitress and when he bring our drinks, he forgot the straws and the lemon I requested. In midst dinner I had to get out my chair to ask for drink refills. Food and service should not change as it gets closer to closing time. The quality of the food should be consistent and not change whether it was early in the day or late at night. We pay money to eat good food not left overs. I’ve ate at other red lobster locations and had no issues like this. Is this place even managed?...
Read moreWas extremely disappointed this evening. Food was good, but service was extremely slow. Went through most of our meal with empty glasses, with not just our server walking by but several others without offering to refill them. Our server looked absolutely miserable the whole time we were there. And I do not like that we are supposed to use the kiosk on the table to order appetizers, desserts and pay. Isnt that what we tip our server for? For service.
Went to this Red Lobster today to celebrate my sister-in-laws graduation from Nursing School. We had a party of 14, and most of us ordered the endless shrimp. It took a little bit to get our drinks, but it's a lot at once so that's okay. Then our server took our order and I felt pretty quickly the food came out. The kitchen manager came and said that they were making more cole slaw because it was missing from one plate...it never came. We sat with empty beverages for most of the time our server never came back and offered refills. She did come back to see if we needed reorders, and my brother asked for more sweet tea, so a few people got a refill at that time. The reorder took way longer, and when the kitchen manager finally brought it out it was cold. My husband wanted more water, which we had to ask for. Finally our server appeared again and we just asked for out check, then she brings us back one of those little computer things so we can do that ourselves. I meet my friends for dinner at a different location every few months and we always have great service. I'm in the service industry and have actually worked at Red Lobster so it is extremely disappointing to go out for a celebration and not get even mediocre service. I can understand if it was Busy, but it was 3PM and maybe 10 tables in the...
