They have a drive thru, which is a bonus for quick eats.
I paid over $9 for 3 basic tacos!!!! Way over priced.
1st taco : Potato and egg with cheese
Potatoes were bland, and obviously frozen type that you can get at any grocery store. Tortillas also, not homemade. Definitely not a home made flour tortilla.
Taco was probably the best out of the bunch, but that's not saying much.
5/10 2nd taco: Chorizo and Egg
Not enough chorizo, making the egg color a little on the pink side instead of that dark red you'd expect from a chorizo egg taco.
It was filled pretty good otherwise out of all 3. But just as bland as the 1st taco.
4/10
3rd taco: Bacon and Egg
What can I say? Plain, and tasteless. And one of the biggest wrongs in this taco, the eggs and bacon weren't mixed!! I don't know why a lot of restaurants do this.
A good bacon and egg taco, is mixed. So everything soaks in that good bacon flavor and also giving it a more moistness to the whole taco.
Instead of just throwing bacon on top of the Plain bland eggs like this place.
This taco wasn't filled as well as the other two tacos.
4/10 ā-------------- For a mom and pop restaurant, I'm disappointed in the lack of effort put into the ingredients and quality of the food especially for the price you pay.
That bacon and egg was a .75 cent taco IMO.
Restaurants in the area are priced pointed at $6 for those same tacos.
Overall , after reading these reviews, I'm surprised at the high ratings. I guess some people are missing out at some of San Antonio's other good mom and pop restaurants that provides better quality food at better prices.
Giving places like this a try is my taco passion. However, overall satisfaction was left disappointed.
5/10 , mediocre food at high...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThereās nothing I love more than a legit taco placeā except for a legit taco place WITH a drive-thru. I gave Taco Broadway a chance after my usual spot got caught not paying employees proper wages... a no-go when Iām choosing where to spend my money. This place came highly recommended by my neighbors and, luckily for me, is only a block-and-a-half away from my apartment. To my delight, the breakfast tacos at Taco Broadway are delicious and the service is excellent! The owner, Nydia, is super kind and friendly. Taco B recently received a 100 on their health inspection, which is especially appreciated during this pandemic. Iāll eat breakfast tacos anytime of day, but Iām looking forward to trying more items on their menu. Support your local taco shops, yāall!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe most godawful tacos I've ever had the displeasure of eating. Everything tasted fake or canned, nothing homemade. The beans were overly greasy & filmy, almost positive they were canned, left a literal bad taste in my mouth. Tortillas were fake / premade & falling apart. They didn't even bother to put the cheese in the tacos, they just gave a foil full of hill country fare cheese on the side, definitely was not restaurant quality cheese. The fajitas were by far the worst, overly chewy & extremely tough. It literally gave me a headache trying to chew through them. On top of that, they forgot the avocado slices that they charged us almost $2 for. Wouldn't go back if...
