Awful Service... (Royal Event Center) (Banquets del Norte) (DJ Ponce/crew)
As a family, we have had several events here at Royal Event Center, and this is by far the worst service we have ever experienced.
Here are a few things I noticed...
THE CAKE... The cake was ugly and falling apart. When we confronted the crew setting it up, the guy was touching the cake with his bare hands. We had to tell him to put gloves on. They were all rude and arguing with us. We simply wanted to know why there was a stick coming out of the top of the cake..? And why the flowers looked the way they did. THE FRUIT... The fruit was set up when we arrived (NOT COVERED) and covered in ngats. We told the servers, and they covered the fruit with paper towels. That fruit sat out for hours. *THE SERVERS... The servers, when serving, were all over the place, and they missed a few tables. *THE BARTENDER... The bartender didn't know how to make the drinks, we had to show her how. She also had her young daughter behind the counter with her. *THE RESTROOM... The restroom had big industrial rolls of toilet paper sitting on the back of the toilets. Midway-end of the night, ALL of the rolls were on the floor. (GROSS) Right away, we ran out of soap and paper towels. They refilled the soap dispenser with dawn soap and made a face when they had to grab some more towels. *THE LIGHTS... The lights were the wrong color, half the hall was on and the other half was off. When we asked to have them changed, no one knew how to work them. We had to call someone. *THE DJ... The DJ (which I hear is not effilated with the hall) but is a business.. That DJ was really bad. DURING THE EVENT, he stopped the music and asked why no one was dancing. He even threatened the guest to take back the lights that were handed out if we didn't get out on the dance floor. (HOW EMBARRASSING) He played weird songs, and some were played twice. (Come to find out... it wasn't the DJ we had requested. WOW.) *THE SECURITY... The security was a joke.. at one point, they were both outside laughing. (You might want to hire your own).
This is what I observed and experienced and in my opinion... Think twice about booking here, and do your research. This is a business that only cares about getting that money. Things are definitely different since Royal events Center made some changes and brought in...
Read moreWe had my niece quince there this Saturday. The lady in charge Karla was not a good event planner. We had a lot of embarrassing moments with her staff as herself. First of all the Dj that she hired was having technical issues for about 30 min during the presentation. Our court of honor was just standing in the middle of the dance floor until it got fixed. You would think that her Karla being the host would go and see what the issue was. For the reason that she sells u the package for these events as a whole. So she don’t let anyone outside to come and do anything as in shape, photographer, video, table arraignments. She has her own people that work for her. The Dj has to figure out how to set up the internet by herself. We asked her and she said she had nothing to do about that. Ok that was the first thing that went wrong. Second some of the cup for dinner were cracked or chipped and still was served and set ant the tables as is. We had to get the waitress attention to get them replaced. Third dinner was suppose to be served till 7:30 pm. My family got there at 6:55pm and we got denied food. Saying there was no more. Other family members who got to get there plate the food was cold. Fourth the candy table set up had candies from Christmas and Easter logos. And last thing the video person left the event at 10 pm which he was paid to stay till midnight. Unfortunately we had some very bad service but for the price my family paid was not worth it. Regardless of everything we had no choice but to continue forward with this event. Not a good...
Read moreWhere do I start!!! This was my first and only quince I have ever planned. I was very excited and nervous at the same time. I had so many questions and spoke to so many people with this venue over the 3 years planning. Finally the week came before the event I met DANIEL and all my worries went away! He was so welcoming and answered all the questions I had and if he didn’t know the answers he found out and kept me in the loop. Reassured me that everything was going to be amazing. The day of the event there was a few hiccups but nothing that he was not able to fix right there and then. He was on top of everything make sure everything was in place walking around checking on important family members, as well as guest. Helped me when I needed it without hesitation. He jumped on everything he was just outstanding and amazing! The venue was set up exactly how I wanted and was so enchanted. I couldn’t ask for more everyone was having fun and still talking about till today. If I needed to have a huge party again I will definitely be calling Daniel! Thank you Daniel for making this once in a life time an unforgettable evening for my daughter and family...
