Lei Luo DDS — Attraction in San Bruno

It had been years since I last saw the dentist (at least 10) so my teeth were in bad shape. I knew that I would require extensive work possibly involving extractions, crowns and implants.

My prior dentist is in Hayward so it was becoming increasingly more difficult to take a day off from work to see him now that I live in San Bruno. What originally brought me to him was that he practiced "gentle dentistry". This means he would give you headphones and gas for virtually any procedure, even cleanings. Admittedly I am terrified of going to the dentist.

I have Delta Dental Insurance and a standard plan provided for by my employer. When I learned the yearly limit on what Delta would pay, I explored the option of supplemental insurance. I learned that the gas that was previously paid for by my insurance would now fall to me for payment. Working within a budget I decided to bite the bullet and forego the gas. As it turned out Dr. Lei is awesome. I told him during my initial visit that I was terrified. After taking an x-ray he calmly explained my treatment plan. It would involve three additional appointments because I need 10 crowns. Long story short is Dr. Li is so good I never needed the gas. Even the shot to numb my mouth was not bad.

Dr. Lei clearly knows what he is doing and does it well. He is efficient fast and his work is outstanding. Because of him I no longer fear the dentist.

Terrible dentist and he does not stand behind his work beware. I had a bridge put on within months it came out and it was supposed to be permanent in two years it’s come out six times and had to be re-cemented in he takes no responsibility. He also did a root canal on one of my molars they continue to hurt for a year I went back to him several times he said it was fine. I seen a specialist and apparently he left a root in my tooth reason it was swollen and causing me pain for a year it got infected and Endiodonist did it correctly. So after the doctor did a root canal on me I had to have it redone and pay for it all over again.
