This trail was added 5 years ago and features exhibits from across Africa. It is best to start the trail at to top and work your way down. The end of the trail seems to be the highlight. Here, you will find a lepord, penguins, and sharks. Yes, you read that right, sharks. The tank at the end of the trail has several lepord sharks and is a great place to let the kids watch them swim back and forth. Also, it is a good spot for parents to take a break at.

We really enjoyed the Africa rocks trail they were lots of things to see including the baboons and the mandrels. The baboons and the monkeys had lots of places to view them in action. Although you are going and walking up the hill it’s not that bad and the Avery is also very good to look at.

Africa Rocks is the best part of the Zoo to visit in the early morning and late afternoon when the sun isn't too intense. There are so many exhibits to look at and enjoy. Also stop by the waterfall and take some photos! Be sure to cover your camera because the waterfall mist is strong.
