TERRIBLE experience with Tricia—not even the standard service was provided.

I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for over 10 years, and this was by far THE WORST service I’ve ever received. The initial cleaning was extremely careless, and the waxing was done WITHOUT trimming the hair beforehand. At the end of the session, she didn’t use tweezers to remove the remaining hairs, and even the final step of applying aloe was done carelessly, covering only part of the waxed area. The entire process felt rushed and was completed in about 10 minutes, making it far more painful than it should have been.

The pain was exacerbated by her improper technique—she didn’t apply the correct pressure when peeling the wax to reduce discomfort. Since this was my first waxing experience in the country, I initially assumed the process might be different here. However, my friend regularly visits the same shop with different estheticians and has consistently received a much more thorough service, including all the steps that were skipped in my session. This made it clear that the issue wasn’t with the shop itself but with Tricia’s lack of professionalism.

The staff at Brazilia are beyond kind, courteous, and fun! Scheduling here is such a breeze because of their online system, and they have a good spread on appointment times. I have been coming for over 2 years now and I have never had anything less than a prompt and professional service! I primarily come here to get my brows threaded and you will soon know why.

Mina is an absolute EXPERT threader—if you have any question about getting your eyebrows threaded in the first place (which was the case for me as I had only waxed in the past), or about visiting Mina you need to push past them because her attention to detail, personality, and honestly pure talent make her the threader of dreams! She is so good at her craft that I can simply sit in the seat without saying anything and walk out with perfect brows which is saying something considering the big speeches I have had to give in the past (e.g. don’t touch this, please don’t take all my brow, just clean up here). I should probably gatekeep Mina and her immense brow capabilities a bit more but that would be cruel, instead, take my word...

Honestly I come here for some services and every time I haven’t been 100% satisfied. Last time I went to get my eyebrows done and she made me look the same. I told her I wanted to change thick eyebrows to thinner and she didn’t. I was a little bummed to pay for something I could easily do at home. Ok but the worst experience was when I got a facial wax for the first time ever. Lady was super nice but she burned my face on one side of my face and it was there for a whole month as a red mark. I felt the wax too when it was too hot for my face but I thought she knew what she was doing so I kept quiet. She also left patches of hair around my sideburns and cheeks and it looked so bad in the sunlight. It looked hilarious not gonna lie. Just such a badly done wax.
