Disappointed by the Lack of Hygiene Consideration
I attended the 7:30 AM class with Rachel today, and while she is a fantastic instructor, I had to walk out after just five minutes. The reason wasn’t the class itself but the overwhelming underarm odor from another participant, which made it impossible to focus or stay.
I am not someone who gives up easily, and I pay for these classes expecting a comfortable and enjoyable experience. While I understand that yoga is a physical practice and sweating is natural, basic hygiene should be a shared responsibility in a communal space. I truly believe everyone should check their hygiene before attending class to ensure a pleasant experience for all.
This was a very disappointing situation, and I hope the studio can address this issue, whether through gentle reminders about personal hygiene or improved...

Sometimes it is not so bad, and other times by the 45min mark half the class is just collapsed on their mats looking at their watches waiting for the session to end. When you ask the instructors if the room has to be SO hot, they smile and shrug and say that is the policy. They sent me a smug email saying "you should have read the small print in the contract - whenever you cancel, we will then charge your credit card for...
Read moreClasses are predictable, which is positive for people who are less experienced, negative for more serious practitioners. The teaching quality varies quite a bit but often suffers from unbalanced sequencing, a lack of multi-tiered options for beginning, intermediate and advanced students, and a sense of franticness as the instructor tries to force what should be an 75 minute class into 60 minutes. There is a heavy reliance on props as a teaching gimmick which mystifies me, since props should be used as an assist during postures instead of being the focus. The facilities are clean and parking is good. It's overpriced for what they offer, but it...
