I've lived in Del Mar for 30+ years and just stumbled on this trail a few weeks ago. Out walking my dog and found this. I hike Torrey Pines often but they don't allow dogs. This trail is amazing. Drop down to Racetrack View and then follow it to Riverwalk to Dog Beach is a great 4+ mile round trip hike. I highly recommend this trail. Since we found this, my dog and I have been on this trail...

Decent hike and nice views, kiddo friendly. But, they are doing significant work in the canyon right now, so half the trail is closed. Try again in 6 months after they...
