Okay so I went on Emperor yesterday for the first time and I was so scared before I did it! My first time I went in the middle row, which made me feel a lot better because I felt protected lol. I actually loved it and went on it 5 times in a row! The view before the drop is just so pretty too! Overall, it's a smooth rollercoaster. It is my new favorite rollercoaster in SeaWorld San Diego, but it really depends on where you sit. I tried all 3 rows and I actually love them all, but especially the front. In the front, you are actually hanging off the edge of the drop and you can always feel the wind in your face. I recommend the middle for your first time riding if you are scared like I was before riding. The back row is actually really cool too because you aren't really hanging at the drop, you are just sitting waiting lol. The drop is so cool from any seat though!

I know the drop seems really high and scary, but once you do it a few times, it is actually really fun! It doesn't actually feel that high once you're up doing the drop! But I really did get my real scream out though when we dived down lol!

After doing the drop, the rest of the coaster is actually super cool! I would say I love everything about it! So if you're scared, just know it's a lot of fun and I recommend doing it! :)

Also, if you like riding the rides at SeaWorld San Diego, I definitely recommend going right when they open because the lines are so short! I'm not sure if this was just me, but Emperor's line when I was there was always under 5 minutes at any point in the day and it was packed at almost every other ride. But, it did stop (don't worry lol, no one was on the ride when it happened) twice, so it did take a few minutes for it to be up and running again.

I hope this helped you and I'm sorry it was...

OKAY DONT LISTEN TO ANY PEOPLE WHO SAY ITS BAD

take this from me, my first rollercoaster was the giant dipper at belmont park san diego. i was horrified, as everyone is for their first, but ofc as per everyone, i loved it. now, this was the only rollercoaster i had been on until tonight. every ride at sea world happened to be closed tonight, but i was at a special event so we had one open ride. this just so happened to be the tallest 90 degree, 60 mph, straight. down. drop. in california. now as you can imagine, i was mortified at the sight of this, but i was luckily guilt tripped into going. i shook, i screamed before reaching the top, my heart was going to pop. now imagine that but triple it because youre facing straight down, but WHOOSH BRO ZOOM. THAT WAS THE COOLEST FREAKING THING IVE EVER DONE. if youre scared, dont be. remember you wont die, youll be scared but you wont die and its all worth it in the end, because you will have had so much gosh darn fun. and as for the drop, you feel it. you really feel it, but the spirals where you go upside down? you see and feel it, but it goes by so quickly its like it never happened. this ride was so fun i had to go again, but this time the front instead of the back. always ride front. always, youll miss out on the thrill!

anyways, that was my presentation😅 go on it. you...

Absolute nightmare. I loved this ride the first few times I went on it, however, I went just last night (10/22) during the Howl-O-Scream event and it was horrible. As we were getting in line, they told us the ride was down for 15-20 mins. We waited for the ride to come back on, and then got in line. 2 or 3 cars went before us, then we boarded. As we got to the top it was going a lot faster than it normally did, the whole car shook as it turned. Then as we got to the part where it’s SUPPOSED to hold you before dropping you (the biggest part of the ride) the car jumped violently, and there was this awful metal noise and the car didn’t stop. We went straight down without warning, going a lot faster than it ever had before. My whole group was terrified. We got back into the loading area only to see that they were evacuating the people who were about to ride. We waited about 7 mins for them to get us off that sketchy ride. A few guests were in tears. It was absolutely horrible. I don’t know if it was the weather (since it did rain) or something else within the ride but it was the worst experience I’ve ever had at sea world. Will never...

10 out of 10 would recommend!! This roller coaster is my new favorite here at Seaworld! I recently went on it and it was the best at the very top before you drop do you have the nicest view of all of San Diego!! The drop itself can be a bit stomach sickening but it is a very long drive so I do NOT recommend it for those who can get motion sick! The speed of a ride even though it’s 60 miles +. and plus it feels like a much slower ride than it really is because they strap you in very tight. I really recommend going or trying it right now because the wait times are very low about FIVE minutes on weekdays. The first time experience was really nice and I went on it three more times after that and you should definitely try the front in the back the middle is OK 👍! Thanks for reading!!

my dad and sister rode this ride. this was my sister’s first B&M coaster and she loved it. apparently she said you don’t notice you are upside down at all. I tried the test seat and it was comfortable. I did not ride because I’m scared of roller coasters. you can ride if you are at least 52 inches tall, you cannot ride if you are 78 inches or taller.

Its a 5 star ride, but be advised that the published 52 inch minimum rider height requirement is actually enforced to 52.5 inches. We had an excited rider who is 52.25" and they wouldn't let him on. The sign by the ride attendants that they use for a final decision appears to be off by 1/2".
