Genesee Plaza — Attraction in San Diego

The mall itself is very large and is actually three mals within a short walking distance of eachother.They have a nice Target, Home Depot as well as a great selection of other stores on the Genesee Plaza side. There are many many small and large well known businesses adjacent the intersection of Genesee and Balboa Avenues. A Vons Supermarket ( The only place that you can buy a transit pass outside of Old Town ), CVS, The Habit Burger Grill, Time Wise Jewelry and Watch Repair, a Kohls Department Store, Starbucks, Party City, Bank of America, Union Bank, U.S.Bank, Albertsons. McDonald's, an IHOP pancake house ( It's extremely popular with families for breakfast), The DMV, Sprouts Market, a number of Mexican food restaurants and drive-thrus, a Pandera Bakery, a couple of beauty shops, three service stations, a Pet Smart, a well known auto parts store called O-Reilys, a famous fish and chips place ( You've got to try it!). There are many professional offices and a pharmacy-in the two large buildings on the NW corner of Balboa and Genesee, and a well known restaurant that sells county style breakfasts and lunches, a GNC and a number of other stores...too many to count. My service was excellent today with the wax professional Jocelyn not sure I have the right spelling anyhow, the front desk lady Elizabeth thought I said $20 versus 20% tip. I was charged $52 from a $32 service honestly I’m not that wealthy to leave that much of a tip today, which in fact the Young lady who performed the wax service was excellent and she does deserve it but unfortunately, it’s a little much for me to leave that much of a tip today now from the inconvenience I was told I have to contact the manager tomorrow 24 to 48 hours to get my money back not a good experience. She was quick to charge me, but she should be quick to refund me. This is not acceptable. I’ll think twice to come back here unfortunately I really like the wax lady so for that reason until I reach the manager, I will decide...

I haven't lived in the area for very long, but I live in a reasonably central location and can go to many shopping centers.

Genesee Plaza is equally close to me as Mission Valley, but I actually prefer Genesee Plaza! They have many of the same stores, types of shops and services, and restaurants, but I like the selection of items here, and the service I receive at this location is better.

I frequently go shopping at Home Depot, Target, Party City, Petsmart, Walgreens, Marshalls, and Balboa Beauty Supply. For services, I come to the Postal Annex, Finesse Nail Salon, the bank, and Valvoline; for food, I go to almost all the restaurants.
