Blaze Pizza — Restaurant in San Diego

I go to this place at least once a week and usually the service and pace is quick, but today was no exception. I was the only one in line, not kidding the only one and no pizza dough's were ready and eveb took a minute for my order to be taken. Yes, I was acknowledged when I first walked in but the 6 'chatty Kathy's' behind the counter would much rather discuss their hardships than show any eagerness to assist customers right in front of them.

After my pizza was taken through the line (way longer then needed to be - again chatty Kathy's) I was approached by Brock at check out. I asked for the manager and he said that he was one of them. I told him that today was way to slow to be the only one in line and that everyone seemed too distracted. He apologized giving me a $2 coupon which I didn't ask for saying that he would discuss this with his team - I sure hope he does.

This unfortunately wasn't their first offense. I am only bringing this up because of what happened today...

I was at this same location last week and man it was busy with at least ten people ordering ahead of me. This didn't matter though because it was all hands on deck quickly moving through the line with friendliness and full attention.. this unfortunately didn't transpire with a gentleman working at the end of the line pulling pizzas out of the oven looking overworked, stressed out and confused. I didn't realize that he pulled my pizza out of the oven topping it was something that I did not want and handed it to another customer. That customer then returned to the man at the end saying that that was not what he ordered I then noticed it was mine. You guys then offered to remake it for me but because how long the first one took I decided not to and just left with my cold pizza.

I hope Blaze isn't loosing their touch because I really like this place and hope that this message gets to the right...

!!! Amazing! My new fav pizza place and top 3 on restaurants over all. I'm a little upset that GF crust is like 4.00 more ( how can you charge more for less ingredients?) But with that being said - the food is worth it. GF! Two options! Vegan and califlour- lots of towing selection and the flavor of everything is extremely strong making me believe everything is crazy freash. The spicy red sauce is actually spicy - no bland food pandering here. They make it and cook it in front of you so u know what goes into it and watching them cook in the giant oven is pretty cool. I used to gave a cool pizza ria in boise where they did similar pizas and even made the dough freash infront if you - was sad I didn't have something to replace it - but this replaces it AND tastes better! The employees aren't allowed to accept tips so I hope that means they are getting the 20.00 / hr food prices or at least are well paid. ( hopefully someone can confirm) so if your sick of seeing ' tip' pop up everywhere this seems like a solution. ( but they BETTER be being paid well) because the staff is SUPER kind and caring- easy to chat with - cool ppl. The restaurant is very - and I mean - VERY clean. Felt like I could prolly eat off the floor. Definitely give this...

We have dined at this establishment a few times and the service was fine and the food quality was fair. Tonight I convinced my wife to go here over the restaurant that she wanted and man was I wrong to convince her to chose Blaze. We stood in line for about 15 mins before we even ordered. My wife ordered a signature pizza and the messed up the order. The soda machine was out of ice and a few of the sodas and I asked several employees to change them and it took over 15 mins to make that change. My little 3 year old has to go to the bathroom and upon return my wife informed me the toliet was clogged and that the restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Every customer was asking for napkins, straws, and things like cheese and herbs because nothing in the dinning area was stoked. They had 12 employees plus working and they all looked like chickens with their heads cut off. This was all going on while people were complaining that they ordered online and having to wait 30 mins to pick up a pizza. Sorry Blaze but I don't think we will be returning.
