Luxur Nails Lounge and Spa — Attraction in San Diego

This is the most horrible experience I ever had. Before I walk in here I checked their reviews both google & yelp and everything is five star and WOW I was very very impress. However, their all five star reviews didn't work for me at all and below are the following reasons:

1. Spend 3.5 hours in their salon and I felt like that went back in time with my horrible experience when I was at Nashville where first they will seat you in a manicure table and then after they will seat you in a pedicure chair. This for me is like a waste of time as the usual nail salon i go to in La Jolla where they always do an excellent job is nothing comparing to this because in there you won't spend 3.5 hours in the salon.
2. The technician who did my hand and feet (not gonnamention her name) she didn't even ask me what shape I wanted to do for my feet the fact that I always do the round shape and she just shape it square and I never wanted square shape for my nails. At the usual nail salon I go to they always ask me what kind of shape I wanted for my nails even I had been there millions of times.
3. I ask to change into full set and look at the direction of my nail in the middle and my thumb finger it is not straight at all and the sides of my cuticles are still dirty and there's still leftover gel that she had left at the side of my nail and my feet was a horrible job( fotos attach for reference). I really don't mind paying at all even I know there rate is higher than the usual nail salon that I go to in La Jolla by the Girard Avenue (the fact that we're taking about La Jolla FYI). Anyways now is Christmas time and I don't have a Happy nails and I will just had to go back to redo my nails in the usual nail salon that I go to in La Jolla after Christmas where they always do an excellent job and service for my nails. The only thing that is nice in this salon is their contemporary decoration and new chairs and nice bathroom but I don't come to nail salon for decorations I come get my nails properly done. Oh well I am not coming back here I'll go back to the one where I always do my nails...

I love this nail salon! My mom had been going here and suggested I try it out. I’ve been going here for over a year now.

The owners are two absolutely sweet and super accommodating sisters who ALWAYS answer their phones. Mai is so nice and always makes room for me even when I call last minute!!!! They have such a good selection for pedicure treatments, and are never pressuring. There is an option to add extra time on the foot massage, which is great if you don’t want to do a fancy pedicure but just want a little extra massage time on your feet during your pedicure!!

Lindsey and Ben are also amazing!!! Lindsey is so kind and does my mom and I for pedicure, Mai too. Ben, is my main go to guy!!! He is super funny- and always does an awesome job. He does my acrylics and fills, full sets, etc. Also- he is super good with design and my nails always look good. He does all shapes and sizes of nails, I usually get medium coffin. Im really particular about my nails, and a couple times I didn’t like the way my nail turned out compared to how I thought it would, and he fixed it for me. He even cuts my cuticle and I’m always super grateful he does that for me.

There is a new lady named Lana and she did my pedicure today for the first time and was awesome!!! I totally recommend her. She did it super quick and such a good job. She suggested I do the callus treatment which was $8 extra and she did not disappoint!! My feet are SO clean and she scrubbed all the dead skin off and my feet are super smooth now.

OH and this salon is ALWAYS super clean. Which is a huge thing for me.

They offer you cold water bottles and their restroom is immaculate. I could go on and on.. I really love these ladies!!!

I took my 5 year old niece in today for a mani pedi and they treated her like a queen. She got red nails with black and white polka dots like Minnie Mouse. Here’s some pictures!!!...

The first time I came to the nail salon, Ben did an awesome job giving me exactly what I asked for, based off of an image I provided. The second time I came in was a whole different experience. Unfortunately, Ben didn't like the type of flowers I was requesting (a simple small flower made with just a few dots in a circle) and showed me one's he would rather do. When I told him I didn't want what he was suggesting, I made it clear that if he couldn't do it, I would go with a different design all together. I offered to show him a few other designs I liked, but he was super dismissive and said he could do what I wanted after all. Once he got started cleaning up my nails he burnt my skin a few times and when I said "ouch" and pulled my finger away each time, he was again, very dismissive and just looked at me with a blank stare. He attempted the design I was asking for, (small flowers made by connecting little dots) but just made a big blob in the middle of my nail. This isn't what I wanted so I told him no thank you very nicely and again tried to show him some other options of things I liked, asking what would be easy for him. I am not one to want to be difficult at the nail salon, I understand that they are not miracle workers, but anything I showed him, he made it seem like he just didn't want to do it. His attitude was very unhelpful and dismissive the whole appointment and when I was leaving he was ignoring me as I was trying to tip him because I felt like I was being difficult (although I wasn't). I'm really disappointed in the lack of service Ben provided because literally everyone else at the salon is so nice. We all have bad days and I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but because of this experience, I will not be...
