Spa Brezza — Local services in San Diego

Facilities were very clean and pleasant. Staff were all very courteous and helpful. We were able to use the pool while we waited for our massage times and we had a very relaxing (for her) and therapeutic (for him) massage experiences.

Only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because we were told that the 22% Tip that WE added to our individual massage packages at the time the appointments were made (several days prior) was not going to be included in the total price.

We were asked if we would like to tip our masseuses and we explained a 2nd time that we had included a 22% tip with our initial purchase and appointment booking. We were told that 22% tip was not reflected on the total, again.

So we tipped 20% and when we get the receipts, the total amount billed has a 20% Tip of $29.80 AND our initial 22% Tip of $32.78 (do the math for a $149.00 Total). We always tip accordingly and in some cases ahead of time to make things simpler for us while traveling but we do not like to be tricked into over tipping. A 42% Tip ($62.58) on a $149 Service is a little overkill and if we thought the service was that amazing to tip that much of a %, we would tip cash so that the masseuses could keep as much as that tip as possible.

Our 22% Tip ($32.78) is listed as a Service Charge that shows in the receipts. It is not a Service Charge, it is our 22% Tip that we told them about twice.

We like the service and facilities but we are not coming back the next time we are in town. We like to know our business is valued and not be taken...

The massage was fine as was the atmosphere, but if they want to call themselves a luxury spa, they need to anticipate some clients may have other robe size needs. I went with a friend so we could have a girl's day. Unlike every other luxury spa I've been to, I was never asked my robe or shoe size prior to arrival. Once there, we were taken to a locker room where there were "one size fits most" robes and randomly sized sandals to wear. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy, and the robe would not fit comfortably/modestly over my belly and not show too much thigh below. My friend could not get the robe on. We were told that there were larger robes, but the largest ones were only in the men's locker room, and since a man was showering in there at the time, we could not have those robes. They managed to find a larger size I could fit into, but my friend had to awkwardly sit in the waiting room in her street clothes until it was time for her massage. We also had to switch sandals, as the random sizes they had put in our lockers were nowhere near correct.

There are simple ways to fix this. Number one is to ask ahead of time and be prepared with the correct size of shoes and robes. The second is to keep inclusive sizes of robes available in a different area so one does not have to depend on an empty men's locker room to get appropriate sized spa wear.

I took my mom as a treat for her and I while vacationing in San Diego to sea brezza for a 30 minute soak bath. They showed us the facility and escorted us to the first bath room with a modern large soaker tub, we could smell the luxurious oil scents. There was a shower about 6 feet from the large tub and privacy curtains, it was beautiful! I was excited, but I was then given a room 1/3rd the size that had a large showerpan for a tub. The "tub" also would not hold water and emptied every 2 minutes. I left and went to the reception where, when telling them I did not get a bath soak experience they offered a 15% discount but a mandatory 15% gratuity. I wanted my Mom to at least have a good experience, after 45 minutes of waiting she texted and i found out she had been waiting in the locker room no body came to get her from the bath she independently found her way back and redressed then waited for me as no body also followed up with her afterwards either.
