Point Medanos Jetty is a beautiful spot in Mission Beach, with waves that seem to call out to surfers—just not all surfers. The local crowd here is highly protective of their break, and they’ve made it clear that outsiders are not exactly welcome. With good shoes, some confidence, a bit of agility, and secure pockets/bags to hold your belongings (beware!!! phones do fall!!!!), walking the Jetty rocks at low tide and/or sunset is one of the most beautiful place for pictures and fun.
